After gaining the upper hand with a single strike, Mira pressed her advantage.
She didn't use any special magic skills but simply relentlessly pursued Raizel, forcing him into brutal close-quarters combat.
Boom!
Wendy twitched her mouth as she looked at the rock she had been leaning against earlier.
A boulder much taller than Wendy and over a meter thick exploded violently from a stray punch.
Dust filled the air, and the spectacle was terrifying.
Under the immense force, countless fragments of rock shot out in all directions like shrapnel.
Some fell into the lake, splashing water everywhere, while others slammed into trees at high speed, leaving deep craters in the thick trunks.
Fortunately, Raizel had told her to move away before the fight started.
"Damn," Raizel muttered.
Even Raizel had a new appreciation for Mira's destructive power—and that was just a normal punch infused with Magical Power.
If Natsu, the most destructive brawler of them all, were to punch that boulder, he probably couldn't achieve such an explosive effect.
"Dark Torrent!" A massive claw formed of black Magical Power, almost tangible, shot forward to grab Raizel.
This time, Raizel didn't dodge.
Instead, the muzzle of the Garuru Cannon on his right arm extended.
A freezing bullet, radiating intense cold air, shot straight toward the center of the black claw.
The freezing bullet dispersed the black claw upon impact and continued flying toward Mira.
Mira's claws gleamed coldly as she coated her hands with black Magical Power, effortlessly slicing the freezing bullet into several harmless pieces.
"Soul Extinction!"
Failing with her first attempt, Mira brought her palms together.
A vast amount of dark Magical Power gathered between her hands, forming a swirling black energy sphere.
The black energy sphere grew larger and larger before being instantly compressed to the dense size of a ping pong ball.
A black shockwave over five meters in diameter surged toward Raizel, tearing up the earth.
"Brave Shield!"
The left shoulder armor of Omnimon emitted a bright orange glow.
The emblem of the Crest of Courage appeared on the shoulder armor, and the massive shield instantly transferred in front of Raizel's body.
Driven by Magical Power, the Brave Shield grew larger and thicker.
It was tall enough to block his two-meter-tall armored form, and sturdy enough that even facing such a powerful shockwave head-on, he remained unfazed.
Mira was pushed back by the recoil of her own black shockwave.
As the black Magical Power slowly dissipated from the clearing, the Brave Shield remained as bright and unblemished as ever.
After landing gracefully from the air, Mira canceled her Take Over on her own.
It wasn't that she had run out of Magic Power—she just couldn't control this volatile form very well yet for extended periods.
It was simply that her abilities had suddenly increased exponentially, and her physical body hadn't fully adapted to the strain.
She fought Raizel only to safely test the raw strength of this form against an opponent who could take it.
After canceling the Take Over, Mira clenched her normal fist and stared blankly at it for a moment.
In her Mirajane Strauss form, using the same magic was vastly stronger than in her base Satan Soul, and her physical skills were too.
What she couldn't achieve in terms of punching power and speed with Satan Soul, she could accomplish with Sitri.
"So you can control it after all?"
Seeing Mira cancel the Take Over safely on her own, Raizel blinked and lowered his shield.
"I never said I couldn't control it," Mira smiled sweetly, lightly touching her cheek with her hand.
Now, no matter what Satan Soul or Demon Soul she used, it could only affect her baseline emotions a little at most.
"Then that dark look in your eyes..." Raizel asked, somewhat puzzled by the sudden shift back to the sweet barmaid.
"That was just to increase the intimidation factor, that's all!" Mira shyly tilted her body and waved her hand dismissively.
"Wow, what an actress... I was fooled," Raizel shook his head with slight helplessness, canceling his own Take Over.
"But I'm still not used to it. I couldn't fully bring out the true power of Demon: Sitri."
While Raizel and Mira were talking, Ultear and the others gathered around.
This was the first time any of them had seen Mira in this form
Cana, in particular, bombarded Mira with so many questions that she didn't know which to answer first.
"You're asking too fast, Cana."
"Where did you Take Over this?! We haven't heard about any demons recently! But we've been together all this time..." Cana pressed curiously, finally expressing her main confusion.
Mira shook her head and explained. "It's not a new Take Over soul. It was originally a latent part of Satan Soul. I'm not sure whether to call it an advanced form or just another dormant form of the Satan Soul."
"Is this the only one?" Levy also raised her hand to ask.
"There are two new ones. The one just now was called Sitri, and the other is Demon: Halphas." Mira held up two fingers, tilting her head and smiling with squinted eyes.
"Wow! Demon: Halphas?! I want to see it!" Erza's eyes instantly lit up with competitive fire.
"Is it strong?" Kagura asked only this question, resting a hand on her sword.
"Hmm... I suppose it's quite strong?" Mira pondered for a moment with her finger lightly touching her chin.
"Can you spar with me next time?" Kagura raised her sheathed blade to issue a formal challenge.
The power of Demon: Sitri had caught Kagura's interest, making her eager for a real fight.
"Sure! But we'll need Raizel or Erza present to stop us," Mira nodded with a smile.
"Demon: Halphas?" Raizel murmured before asking, "Did you come up with that name yourself?"
"No, the name just appeared in my mind when I unlocked it." Mira lightly tapped her head with her finger.
"So the true name just appears intuitively after you Take Over?" Ultear asked while watching Mira's gesture.
"That's right. The base Satan Soul was the same way when I was a kid."
"Ah... Mira's gotten stronger again..." Cana suddenly grabbed her hair, looking quite anxious and defeated.
Although Cana was now officially an S-Class Mage, she was practically the lowest among the guild's S-Class ranks in terms of raw combat power.
Now the gap between her and Mira had widened even further, and Natsu and Kagura were catching up quickly from behind.
"Do you want to become stronger, Cana?" A sweet voice that sounded almost like a sales pitch reached Cana's ears.
But it wasn't a stranger—everyone was familiar with the voice.
Following the sound, Cana turned to look behind her.
"First Master!" The First Master was currently in her spiritual ghost form and made no sound when walking across the grass.
She had been standing behind the group observing the fight, and no one noticed her until Mavis spoke.
Before anyone could ask why Mavis had come, she voluntarily explained.
"I sensed massive demonic power at the guild just now, and it felt different from Mira's usual energy, so I came to check on you all."
"First Master, what did you mean by that earlier?" Cana looked at Mavis curiously, her heart beating fast.
"The magic Fairy Glitter—do you want to learn it?" Mavis stared intently into Cana's eyes.
"Fairy Glitter!" Levy's eyes suddenly widened.
Having read most of the books in the underground library, and being highly familiar with the guild's ancient history, she knew the guild possessed the Three Great Fairy Magics: Fairy Law, Fairy Sphere, and Fairy Glitter.
"But isn't it said that only the Guild Master can practice it?" Levy was somewhat puzzled.
After carefully considering her words, Mavis smiled.
"Well... although I don't mind teaching you all, Fairy Law requires considerable magical power and a certain unique talent to master safely without aging."
"No, no! I wasn't thinking of learning it myself!"
Seeing that Mavis had misunderstood her intent, Levy waved her hands frantically, blushing.
"The reason why only the Guild Master is traditionally allowed to practice the Three Great Magics is because the spells themselves are extremely difficult to learn and require vast amounts of magical power. Forcing their use would only harm oneself. But now that you all possess incredible talent and expanded magical power... I can teach you, if you're willing to learn."
