Everything in her life reminds her of the depravity and sickening world she lives in, the only escape she gets is one where there is nobody around except her and the darkness that is shackled to her.
The only time she feels at peace is when an illuminating moon shines down on her with a light breeze giving her a whiff of the big sewage (aka River Thames).
Giving her comfort.
Freya for a moment while looking down at the water sees a red glow from above as if the moon was bloody red for an instance, but when she looked up it wasn't. A couple of seconds later, she receives a message saying 'Come to this location' and a second message follows for the location.
"Isn't this Zone 3?" she asks herself, but she gets intrigued at the thought of something exciting happening.
When she arrives at the high rise building, a dark and sinister feeling makes her body tingle at the thought what could happen was she goes in.
She sees her reflection at the entrance glass and it takes her back to a faint memory,
"If you say bloody Mary in front of this mirror 3 times she will come to get you" says her father to her as she stands on a stool in front of the toilet mirror and he stands right behind her.
"No daddy" "I'm scared" she cries out as she looks back at him to hug her. Her dad picks her up saying "It's okay my little sweet pea" and she says it once.
"Bloody Mary" as he goes into the building.
Scattered corpses with a shoreline of blood either side of the centre. She walks through like a red carpet was prepared for her in the centre. On each floor, bodies and more bodies. Blood that could quench a vampire's thirst.
At the entrance, She gets shocked by the sight and click her fingers setting up a barrier around the whole building. She follows the flow of mana which sends her to the highest floor and as she steps out of the elevator, Arthur looks at the Head speaker and says "Our guest has arrived".
She enters the room from the door closer to the elevator in a calm demeaner while looking around, she sees dismembered bodies and the gruesome ways they were killed in.
Arthur looks at her and as she looks up at him, he says "We were just playing a game". As she looks at the guy pinned to the wall like a butterfly.
"Are you the one that called me here?" asks Freya. "Yes i am" replies Arthur. "Who are you?" she asks, but he is firm saying "Names are irrelevant in this matter." "Here look at this". He says throwing a book at her.
While she is looking through the black book that Arthur threw to her, he spins the chair around saying "You're going to want to talk to this guy as well" as he shows the head speaker with both of his legs and arms removed propped up on the chair like a doll.
His wounds cauterized and a demented look from the horror show he was constrained to watch.
"So how do you want to play this?" he asks as she steps closer to the table. Before in a single swift motion swinging her large claymore at Arthur's neck. He barely got out of the way and was clipped as he appeared behind her.
In that swing, all the glass from the windows shatter at the force of her swing barely missing the head speaker and cutting above him.
"Close one" he says as he holds his neck while having his back to her. She puts her blade away and says "I'll handle this".
Arthur's body starts to fade into obsidian and before it does he says "I'm going to need a favour soon". A heavy breeze blows by and Arthur is scattered with it.
The early hours of the next day..
Freya holds a press conference saying "Last night, We were called to the scene of a massacre at the Congress guild. They have been completely wiped out. Right now we do not have all the details and will update you all as we progress with this investigation".
Freya stops for a brief moment and hears the constant cameras flashing and clicks, it was like a brief moment of silence to the journalists, but it wasn't.
Time felt obsolete and in that moment each flash reminded her memories that were scattered and lost to time.
"The catastrophe that occurred 5 years was a devastating time for everybody in the world. After that we should of evolved or even improved some way in this country, but we didn't. We regressed and went back to the ways that we humans understood. Corruption, greed and cruel is what we have become."
"The congress was a guild that preyed on people and the most vulnerable of us all. They kept people in debt and worked them like mule, NOT EVEN HUMANS. I will not mourn their days and it is a blessing that they are gone."
She holds up a black book and states "They kept names of all the people they extorted in this book and as well as names for those that supported them".
"Today. Right here and now I make a pledge to you all. EVOLVED WILL CHANGE. We will no longer turn a blind eye to corruption and injustice for the people of this nation. This is a message to the victims of the congress and for all those watching. Fear is what they use to keep you obedient, they are shackles of their designs that you choose when to break free."
Her fierce expression changes to a gentle smile saying "They are gone now". She stops for a moment.
The camera zooms in and she exclaims "FIGHT" "STRUGGLE" "FIGHT UNTIL YOUR BODY CAN NO LONGER MOVE" "NEVER SHOW FEAR" while holding on to the sides and leaning.
She calms down and ends it with this "The first time I saw the light was 3 years ago and yet that light has dimmed in my cage and recently.." "A new light has appeared to show me that I am the only one that can say when I'm done and so are you."
A tear comes down her face and that face became the headline everywhere. Her voice constantly played again and again. It reawakened something in the people listening.
The feeling within EVOLVED has shifted. Freya came into work, just like any other day but the presence around her has changed. More people look at her in awe with those having hatred in their eyes being shun or just outshined.
She got called into the President room, thinking that it would be a congratulations and happiness but after she left the room it left a sour taste in her mouth. After walking out of that room, she gets her phone out and sends a single message "I'm ready whenever" to Arthur.
Arthur sees the text as he is walking towards the hotel. "This is just the beginning" he thinks.
