Chapter 275 - ★ 274 (STAR WARS VII, IN THE BEGINNING XI)

★274

One day, after having a meeting, as we were about to leave, a golden light shone within the Palace. It was so bright that the rays lit all the openings in the Palace, the light successfully clearing away any darkness.

Surprised, we decided to check immediately. As I, the fastest, was about to take a step,

"You must be the Omnis that the Supreme Lord mentioned."

We all came to a halt when we heard a voice behind us.

'What's going on? First Light is supposed to inform me about a new Star but...'

When I turned, a man was floating above us, the golden light fading from his body.

He wore white robes, his skin completely devoid of colour except for golden scales that traced from his arm up to his neck.

His hair was long, pure white, shimmering with a brilliance that made ours seem dull by comparison. Six horns crowned his head: the longest curved from his forehead, the shortest stood straight behind his ear, and the remaining two of medium height rose behind his head like silent sentinels.

He hovered in midair, hair and robes swaying with an unnatural grace, as his gaze settled on us from above, cold, unyielding, and utterly commanding.

"And who are you?"

Belenos asked. And a different voice answered.

"Lord Veldanava did not want to directly participate in my world, so he created him, and we gave him our powers. He is a Dragon species."

We dropped to our knees as the First Light's voice echoed throughout the Garden.

"I am confident you will get along."

His voice became quieter, indicating that he was leaving the Palace.

"The Star King is very interested in this race called Stars. But, what are you having, meetings? What are you, human?"

He spoke, his voice quiet but audible. The authority in his voice was subtle, but I could sense it.

"Gatherings are something general. It existed before humans came into view."

Belenos answered.

"The word 'cute' cannot describe him."

Elara spoke quietly, but he heard and dismissed it by ignoring her. She's probably pissed at his attitude.

"Eternal Acamar, will he join us?"

Primal Lord of Azure asked

"He's a being of two creators, I can't decide for him."

"Even if you beg me, I won't. I, Vyrakos, am here for my own business."

"Beg? Who said anything about begging a lizard..."

Algol snapped before putting his hands over his mouth. Blasphemy.

"Oops."

Belenos chuckled, finding the situation amusing. Kenos came after that. I am sure he just did it to irritate him.

"I forbid, you guys should stop."

"L..lady Elara is right. I don't think it's appropriate either.."

"Oh, come on, are you scared of it, Primal Lord?"

Belenos asked, giggling.

"I..I."

Eternal Azureon was at a loss for words and stayed silent. He's obviously the weakest so it's best to abstain from making enemies.

"Just kidding."

Algol, who was supposed to apologise and repent, freed his hands.

"That was directed toward you, not the Grand Lord or the First Light."

"O, Algol, that's..."

Belenos broke off again with a laugh. Vyrakos, who was already aware of the situation, simply smiled.

"You found it funny too, right?"

Belenos asked not reading the room. I teleported us to the side of the Pond that has been uninhabitable since its creation after noticing his smile.

"Lord First?"

Lord Azureon, grasp the situation, as well as Kenos, who shrouded himself in void. Elara and Azureon raised their barrier, and in exchange, I reinforced their barrier for better protection and remained silent while waiting.

"One, don't say anything I'll perceive as an insult or mockery to my creators."

He raised his finger as he explained.

"Second..."

He paused purposely, letting his pure golden aura flow.

"...don't hurt my pride."

When Belenos picked up the wild signature, it was too late because Vyrakos' fist collided with her head, propelling him away. I can feel her presence passing through thousands of Drops per second.

He did not need to turn because he was already in front of Algol, ready to deliver him.

"Facing me head on ai..."

He was proud that he was strong enough to withstand his punch, but he realised his mistake at the last second. Too slow to move his arms, they moved on their own crossed to take in the punch. His arms were laced with void, ready to take his punch.

Vyrakos smiled at that moment, and star particles coalesced around his fist before he connected, knocking his opponent away. But unlike Belenos, Algol had prepared a counter and approached him through the same path he left with a punch of his own, his destroyed arms regenerating thanks to the void. Algol was frozen in mid-air, unable to move.

"I'll use this to my advantage for the time being."

He said, and light began to form on the tips of his fingers. Algol vibrated, releasing himself from the suspension and catching his opponent off guard. Or so he taught.

"Star Nova; Consciousness Break."

Vyrakos was behind him, the light exploding, so I quickly teleported us back to the Garden, escaping for the time being before returning.

By the time I arrived, Algol was standing unharmed, but he was breathing heavily, his mind erased from the battlefield. Vyrakos turned towards me, waiting.

"Star Dust, Grand Lord's personal Art."

"It was the only way to take care of his void. Don't worry, he'll survive."

Using the same movement with disturbances, he was the same height as me.

"But will you?"

He asked and I closed my eyes.

"It's about time."

"Holy Lance of Great Light!"

Belenos roared from a distance, firing her weapon. Vyrakos turned immediately and I was gone. He raised his hand to cast or block the lance, but it was ineffective.

It exploded, creating such a bright light that a small beam could be seen all the way from the garden.

Vyrakos had lost an arm, his body was bruised, and Belenos was on him, the golden star on her forehead shining red, lance in hand.

He ducks the slash, the shock wave splitting and making a clean cut in the faraway Drops, dividing them in two.

He reached for Belenos' abdomen, but his fist remained suspended, unable to penetrate the light shielding him.

"Can't touch me?"

She swung downwards, but Vyrakos vanished, only to appear in front of her, kneeling and floating at a distance. Belenos charged with the lance, determined to decapitate the Dragon. He caught the lance with his free arm, which stunned Belenos.

"Nothing works twice for me..."

He paused before punching her away with his fully regenerated arm. Belenos collected herself and stared in surprise.

"Dragon's Cause, I only need to strike you once and you will be forever within my grasp."

"C..casualty manipulation? Don't give me that crap! I'll end you here and now!"

The lance pointed at its target, and energy began to gather around it, the beacon of energy growing larger as it continued to draw energy from the Pond.

"This'll be big."

He stood up, facing the escalating catastrophe. Belenos' star was shining brightly, and the energy stored was gradually depleted.

"Be honoured, because I am about to bless you with the sight of God."

His raw energy exploded, radiating intensely before his body turned golden and grew to monstrous proportions. The light cracked and exploded like glass, revealing his true form, a Dragon.

It is covered in golden scales and white skin, with six horns and golden eyes remaining. Its leg stepped into space, its golden winds spreading wide open, emitting a menacing roar that sent shivers down my spine.

Belenos's attack was ready and he fired immediately.

"Light from the Great Holy Spirit. TASTE DESTRUCTION!"

The light was travelling at an undetectable speed. It was onto Vyrakos, who was still roaring, when golden and white light sparked between its jaws as it faced the Light of Destruction, and a transparent beam escaped from its mouth, colliding with the Light of Destruction.

Belenos had the upper hand at first, but the tables turned and the Light of Destruction was pushed aside while also serving as fuel, increasing the beam's potency.

She watched, slowly but steadily, as her own Light was converted into his opponent's attack.

"Jeez..."

Belenos spoke her final words before the beam engulfed her and triggered a devastating explosion.

Kenos stepped in, channelling the maximum amount he could contain to the Abyss; I redirected it to both the Abyss and Unknown Space. But that was not enough; the beam left a scar on the Pond before dissipating.

Vyrakos triumphed, while Belenos sat down in defeat, protected by a transparent barrier.

"You fought well."

"I..."

Belenos was at a loss for words.

"The barrier...Lord First?"

I simply shook my head and his gaze drifted back to Vyrakos.

"I was just testing my barriers, that's all."

He answered and Algol was back to his senses.

"If you gave it your all, we would've had an intense battle."

"Another opportunity will present itself."

He turned and flew away and the others came to the scene.

"What a mess."

Elara noted.

"So, Lord Vyrakos, what are your plans?"

She asked.

"Create Dragons within the Pond."

"So..."

"I'll create a parallel World at the upper part of the Pond. I want to start immediately."

He turned, spreading his wings and flew away.
