After they had heard Anastasias account,the two girls were hard pressed but somewhat hopeful,Amy spoke up," Theirs about a thousand sleeping,and from your description it seems all if not most of the Orcs,and the Goblin hunting parties have gone out,so we have a great chance of executing this plan".
Annabeth nodded then said," Theirs also nothing much holding us back,we finally know how they reproduce it's likely due alchemically augmenting that dead Giant spider,and somehow keeping it's organs functioning".
Annabeth gently patted Anastasias back promoting her quick recovery,then Anastasia spoke with a nauseous tone ," I still worry about the Warlocks in the basement their unpredictable".
" Agreed",Annabeth replied,"but at best for Goblin warlocks they should at best be at an evil eyes level without their summonings,their strongest magics also require time for preparation including the summoning,as for my strength taking on multiple Orcs of the evil eye tier is doable but a heros ability is very tricky".
Amy spoke fervently," we should attack now before,the Orcs return",the girls nodded," let's plan things out ",Annabeth reminded," first priority getting through,and killing the estimated thousand sleeping goblins".
Amy nodded cooking up a plan in her mind," in their current unconscious state I could easily use a frenzy spell to send them all into a riot killing each other",Annabeth added on," planting explosive spell tags,and blowing the cave sky high should then be our next step".
Anastasia regained some of her sanity,and spoke," Theirs a spell acting as a barrier blocking us from entering the main Goblins nest,and If the warlocks hear the ruckus,and have time to use summoning magic it could cause us massive trouble".
" You make a good point",Annabeth said smirking," So do you have a way to get us in the inner chambers",Amy asked with curiosity.
" Shadow gate",Anastasia replied.
" hmmm"
"That should work ",Annabeth said in agreement.
Amy had a more brilliant idea to finalize the plans success,she Giggled then jumped up," Guys I just thought up a more brilliant Idea,no offense to the two of you obviously,but I could cloak us with a psychological,and physical invisibility making us completely unseen for a few minutes,we can then quickly plant the bombs head towards the main nest,I can then activate the frenzy spell,and once that happens we can attack the warlocks,and set off the explosions at any time".
" what do yall think",both Annabeth,and Anastasia simply nodded in surprise at her level of conviction.
All three stood beneath an array while Amy mumbled as she casted a 2 fold invisibility spell,one rendering their bodies completely unseen the other gave them a psychological invisibility.
It was a swift mission the caves entrance became narrower as they went in but it was still large enough to accommodate a few human bodies.
Along the way they encountered piles of bones,and rotting bodies,including bones that had been crushed into fine dust.
Amy,and Anastasia quickly spread exploding tags near the entrance,and above the caves cieling,but then something strange occured.
Unforeseen mystical runes began to appear one after another,they had a dark purple glow,and emitted a strong eroding effect on the active magic that had been casted.
This could be clearly seen as the girls clear,reflective ethereal form began to corrode with patches of black,first slowly then rapidly.
"This is .....",Amy wondered,before Anastasia completed her thoughts," It must have been a passive trap set by the goblin warlocks".
Annabeth concluded," I sensed something strange about one of the skulls we incountered,it seemed deliberately placed, it must of been triggered by a physical mass stepping over it".
" let's hurry up before it takes full effect,I doubt that we've been found out, Goblins,warlocks or not are quick to react to an attack, unless a king is involved".
Anastasia nodded,Their invisibility spell had managed to stay active during this corrosion process as it's complexity had been enhanced with the use of an array.
The array also allowed certain functional additions to the spell that gave each member the ability to see one another,including their own bodies.
Infact the only reason they still knew that they were invisible was through their own sensory abilities.
Annabeth took this opportunity as she moved with rushing speed decapitation the sleeping hordes of Goblins,before they could even make a sound.
Amy knelt down as she prepared a complex mind spell,different shapes,and letters formed before her feet conjoined by sparkling lights culminating in a green array that then expanded disappearing into the sleeping horde.
Suddenly an intense headache awoke the horde,as they began clawing,and ripping themselves as mad cries,and yells could be heard coming from within the cave.
This intense pain quickly drove these Goblins to madness,as they began killing one another,Anastasia pulled from the void a unique weapon,a chained short scythe,with a club like end.
She then used it,to expertly cleave,slash,and squeeze these Goblins who at their maximum height were at 3 to 4 feet,the chains connecting the club,and her scythe felt alive,and forever extendibg as it obeyed her will.
Meanwhile she imbued mana,and conjured wind within her scythes blade,extending its attacks range,while she simultaneously stepped in,and out of the shadows her fighting style was truly the stuff of nightmares.
Annabeth moved with haste, as she moved the air ripped but it seemed as though the sound had collapsed onto itself,allowing her to make soundless draws of the blade,although her slashes were clean the force behind them caused the Goblins body to implode into blood,and guts as their remains scattering about.
This commotion had already been noticed the moment the Goblins frenzy had begun,but it only left the Goblin warlocks in confusion.
The only remaining orc awoke,and using its powerful senses sniffed for the intruders,its powerful hind legs dug deep onto the ground as it lunged forward at the enemy it had just discovered.
Amys spell had begun to fade as the psychological invisibilities effects decreased by half,while the physical invisibility had completed corroded over the course of 10minutes,allowing the orcs senses to lock onto her.
Its forward lunge alone created an intense shockwave,its anger,its hatred due to being awoken had been sturred,and so was its hunger.
It stuck its tongue out,but just as it claws were about to reach Amy a faint wind blew past it,immediately its perception tilted,then slanted until it looked vertically,before it crumbled,and went dark falling like any Goliath.
A few metres infront of the slain orcs body there stood Annabeth her Blade bloodied,she quickly swung her sword in the air flicking off the blood before,she returned it to her sheath in a swift motion.
The team then headed towards the inner chamber of the building meanwhile inside the 5 warlocks began preparing summoning circle in order to kill their opponent.
They spoke in a weird language of growls with one another,Although a barrier existed preventing Annabeths group from physically entering Anastasia formed an array usibg a spell that would connect the shadows inside,and outside the chamber forming a temporary short distance wormhole of sorts.
All three physically jumped to the other side,"Finally! ",Amy exclaimed in joy,while Anastasia was exhausted,and out of breath,"lets get this over with",she grunted in a somewhat forceful tone,then Annabeth screamed out," Let's goooooh!!!",as she jumped into the shadows embrace.
The moment they reached the inside what met them was a Gigantic ball of rolling fire that had been unleashed by two mage warlocks while the other 3 prepared the summoning circle.
," holy! Shii...",before Amy could complete those words,Annabeth reacted quickly kicking Amy out the way,graping Anastasia taking her over her shoulders jumping,then rolling to the side as the ball of fire exploded hitting the chambers walls.
Amy quickly spread explosive tags,then with a simple command while pointing her hands,"sloth!",both had been paralised long enough for Annabeth to draw her Blade delivering precise killing blows to the neck.
Finally the Warlocks first summoning were Successfully as a Great Dragon,made of bone rotten flesh,and ghostly flames began to clime out from the summoning circle its grand frame took up much space in this now claustrophobia inducing chamber.
Forcing,a slightly recovered,Amy,Anastasia,and Annabeth to dodge under the attacks of its swiping paws,its hot breath,its stomping feet,and swiping tail,that sent debrees flying.
Annabeth quickly stated," We dont need to attack this thing just chargé towards the Warlocks,Amy!!,scatter more tags on this thing".
The plan went as advertised,they continued to dodge,and ignore the huge creature going beneath its body as they got closer,and closer to the targets.
The smell alone of a rotting corpse almost incapacitated all three girls,but using another mental command spell," percerver",the team temporarily regained their strength.
The Goblin warlocks were still attempting to summon something else ethereal hands covered in armor began to sprout from the periphery of the array.
The Goblins in their language bosted on how these humans would be killed by the blades of their own kin,afterall in this prison no creature had seen a living human only undead spirits,and wraiths that been trapped there.
Seeing the rising army of weapon wielding soul soldiers,Annabeth quickly took the initiative lungeing forward,killing one of the warlocks stabbing it through the chest.
Anastasia vanished appearing from one of Goblins shadows,killing it,while Amy said another word," collapse",which caused an overload in the Goblins nerves leading to immediate bleeding then death.
The summoning circle then began to overload,and explode the undead dragon finally turned around swinging its large tail to attempt an attack forcing Amy to set off all her tags simultaneously setting off an explosion of lights.
Many colors smirled,and spun Annabeth found herself crouching down holding her Blade for support as she vomited in disgust.
Around her was what seemed like a battlefield scattered about that battle field were millions of blades all stuck above the sands.
She looked up to assess her surroundings as she saw the different quality blades,she smirked thinking to herself.
" Am I dead,this seems like a swordmans paradise",she said before completely collapsing.
