A Gigantic tengu chieftain looked down at its prey, while Yulang looked up at his,both staired down their opponent ready for Battle,individually looking down at their opponents abilities as if they were the lesser,which showcased their emmense egoes,and the pride they held for their respective strength.
The Tengu chieftain was a tall figure having large feathery,white wings,pale polished skin like a pearl that had been left in antarctic ice,pinkish reddish blush on its nose,cheeks,and red lips,it had red eyes long white spiky hair that reached its waist,its eyebrows had the appearance of clouds,a long pointy tipped nose,lastly having blood red horns that curved upwards.
It wore a set of lamellar armor,with two sheathed blades strapped around its waist,it had an imposing figure,so much so that it had Yulang contemplating at first if he should engage in such a battle,or if he was eating more than he could chew but these thoughts were quickly waved off by his pride,as madness took over.
Yulang himself wore a set of green lamellar armor,with martial arts clothing underneath including baggy pants,and warrior boots.
" May I know the name of my defeated opponent",Yulang said smuggly to the chieftain,the Tengus eyes darted its ears twitiching before it smiled then replied," Such arrogance",Yulang was shocked his body instantly taking a guarded stance he had never expected this creature to answer back.
" Surprised",The tengu chieftain said smuggly," All things are born with language of the natural soul,that originates all else, with that,all others can be decoded".
" As for my name I am Reika,"the Massacre",strongest of my class rivaled by none but Deimos,and I agree, it is good for the defeated to know the victors name",Yulang twitched after the last sentence was spoken implying his defeat.
Yulang smirked," for a mere beast,you sure speak alot of empty words",he said while smuggly carressing his right shoulder.
In mere moments Reika had placed his hands on his blades handle located on his left hand side,and thrust forward while unsheathing the blade,yulangs instincts immediately flared up.
" I've had Enough! talk from you ,lets see who backs up their claims".
With his instincts intact Yulang quickly avoided the first decisive blow by jumping in the air and spinning on one spot,meanwhile the force behind the katana like blades unsheathing sent a powerful force that went on to bisect an entire row of trees.
The Hai family were known for their three arts,the explosion fist art which multiplied the force of any attack or movement,made by observing ,and replicating the sudden release of energy from a chemical reaction using mana.
The pounding wave art which is about concentrating a huge force into one area delivering clinical attacks,it grafts the idea of a waves force crashing down on the shore then concentrates that waves force,this art comes with its own style about diverting,and manipulating the flow of battle then hitting critical pressure points.
And last but not least is the crashing mountain art,which is all about placing weight mass into your attacks,it converts ones own mana into mass that is then used in an attack the blows are heavy,and lethal.
There are many ranks indicating mastery level similar to magic,and those are,Beginner,Advanced,Expert,Master candidate,Master level,and Supreme Master.
Being the son of the leader of said clan he was trained to a Masters candidate of each of these three deciplines,meaning he understood the core principles of how these techniques functioned and could apply it creatively.
Yulang spun in the air for less than a second before falling back down with a powerful momentum unleashing a downward spin kick that was sensed,and dodged by Reika by moving a few metres backwards in the air.
But this was a two stepped plan from Yulang, his feet hit the hard Rock he had been meditating on with such force it shattered it into thousands upon thousands of fragments that then flew about in all directions.
With his immense speed,yulang quickly grasped these pieces,and used them as projectiles quickly firing them at the air towards the tengu chieftain.
The chieftain smiled with amusement,using one hand along with his blade Completely parrying each projectile even catching one pebble with the side of his blade manipulateing its momentum redirecting it towards Yulang,Yulang dodged but the force of the pebble still created a crater as it landed.
Keeping one more stone yulang fired it,but unlike the rest Reika realised this one was special,as the force behind it was so intense the katana was pushed back to near Reikas throat.
This was due to the pounding wave art as a concentrated force was placed on the surface of the small stone,when it was finally parried the stone went on to destroy a section of said forest.
Yulang quickly too advantage of this decisive distraction,and jumped through the air using the explosive art to kick off,and increase his velocity.
Reika the tengu chieftain smiled in excitement administering a forward jap with the katana,that was dodged mid air by Yulang who dodged using his left leg and the explosive art to propel himself out the way backflip then using the art of crushing mountain used a palm strike on the Tengu chiefs fourarm with the loosening of its grip,Yulang used his back heel to kick the tip of the katanas grip from out of the Tengus grasp.
He then used its arm as footing to jump,then land multiple punches using his explosive art on the Tengus chest,but some landed,and others were shielded by the chieftans left arm.
Rieka then spun using his huge wings to directly hit Yulangs body,then administering a spining kick near the Ribs sending Yulang flying through the forest, destroying multiple trees forces his body to continuously roll,and backflip his way through the forest,in order to insure that his injuries where not fatal.
Meanwhile a steam came from the Tengus forearm as it appeared to heal any scratch marks quickly disappearing.
Yulang was on his knees blood spurting from his mouth,the silhouette of his opponent was a few hundreds of metres away from him but kept blinking in,and out of existence getting closer,and closer like it was the grim reaper.
When Yulang turned around he saw his worst knightmare at the time,Reika stood right beside him not giving him any time to breath administering another kick that sent him flying.
This was a desperate situation as most of Yulangs pounding wave art martial arts had been made useless due to the fighting style,and proportion difference between him,and his opponent meaning he was at a steep disadvantage atleast while airborne.
Yulang breathed heavily,as he began to understand that right now he could not sustain an all out offensive against this beast.
The Tengu Reika laughed as he moved forward slowly," what happened to all that confidence",he said smuggly in a taunting manner,"And just for that earlier insulance your death will not be quick,nor painless".
As he was regaining consciousness,yulang had noticed something,The tengu was clearly a dual swords wielder but throughout this fight only one sword had been drawn,this enraged him causing him to grit his teeth veins popping from his forehead as blood began to flow from his forehead.
Yulang began preparing his offensive," In this situation I guess the best offense,is a great defense"," hahaha",Yulang laughed his one hand holding his forehead mopping the blood that dripped down impairing his vision.
Yulang still had two trump card weapons in his inventory,but waited for the decisive moment within the fight to create lethal damage.
Finally reika approached once more with killing intent unleashing a twisted expression along with a horizontal slash of his blade,Yulang closed his eyes focusing on all other senses managing to dodge the blow.
Then he quickly jumped out of the way,but Reika within moments closed the gap immediately unleashing multiple japs with his katana than were parried,and redirected using the pounding wave art martial art.
Within two minutes over a thousand japs of the katana were launched,and parried by yulang his stance held strong due to harsh training,similar to a wave crashing into a triangular structure Reikas blows were diverted.
It was so bad that at a point Reikas katana became super heated,where Yulang stood the ground was dented Earth cracking beneath his feet,the force traveled,and ground behind him includibg the trees were almost completely leveled.
Reika smiled at this outcome but the true purpose of this barrage was to build up a repetitive pattern that Yulangs defense could comprehend,and react to eventually taking Yulangs defense ofguard ending the battle in one fell swoop.
As an experienced Tengu he truly played a few moves ahead,the time had come he quickly inacted his plan,he added a spinning right kick to the end of the predetermined set of movements which yulang ducked under,the moment he moved came from under a thrust of the blade awaited.
Seeing this yulang took his opportunity,and blew into the air causing a powerful controled explosion at the space between the blade,and himself,he timed it well allowing him to use the momentum to jump out the way while slowing down the blade escaping death.
At the same time in a surprised,and shocked state Reika stood near the explosions epicentre allowing it to spread,and travel creating a huge blast capable of turning a building into ashen rubble.
Yulang had been trained to not fall for such patterns in battle meaning,Reikas strategy was useless while Yulang simultaneously used this opportunity,and used his explosive art to create an explosive reaction in the air capable of generating an outcome that would impair Reikas vision.
Ash and smoke surrounded the entire area,as vapor rose from dented crators,The tengu chieftain held his blade like a cane as he was on his knees,for the first time in this entire battle Reika recieved small injuries.
His vision had been impaired by seeing the explosion,plus his eardrums were disordered,using this opportunity but not daring to attack Yulang fired multiple water bullet attacks from all directions that reika barely dodged,yulang then smiled.
His plan was working,a dark void popped up as he pulled out and unsheathed a blade known as 1 million leaves,he then kicked in the air using the tip of his feet towards Reikas general direction.
" Water magic water quintuplets",as he generated five water based clones that shared his image perfectly,this was a trick his second eldest brother had taught him.
Yulang then pulled out his final strong weapon,a three pointed jade coated spear,and sent his clones out into battle,all this happened extremely quickly.
when the blade he threw earlier reached the highest point right above Reika he used an activation sign,and began humming,which triggered the blades ability forcing it to multiply thousands of times,and fire directly at Reika.
In the meantime Reika had only now properly stood up still being infected by the explosion,although mostly healed he chose to close his eyes as form of self punishment holding himself back.
The torrent of blades rained down as he stood on one spot sensing the changes in the air he parried every single one with such force,and anger that the blades heated up when making contact with his own,the moment he parried one it would be flung to another part of the forest with enough speed creating multiple explosions,and he did all this while using one hand,truly a peerless swordman amongst Tengu.
Yulangs clones jumped in each grapping a blade as they all engaged it in battle,Reika spun dodged side stepped kicked used his iron wings as a shield all while defending himself from the torrent of falling blades,Yulangs mana could not support the constant offensive,and Reika knew this fact.
In a battle of pure swordmanship Reika appeared to be multiple places at once creating varying afterimages as he toyed with yulangs clones,tripping them with its feet,using their own momentum against them even using Yulangs own blade to impale one,and spin cutting off all their heads as they dispersed into water.
Seeing that Reika had his back turned while multiple blades swormed him,Yulang took his chances mustering majority of his remaining mana,forcing the spear into a downward slash a sharp metalic wind burst out from its tips as it headed towards Reika.
And for the first time in this battle Reika sensed the possibility of death,and instinctively drew his second blade,due to both blades sheaths being on the left hand side drawing the blade with his left hand took much more time, and was more awkward leading to a preference of dualing with one blade unless the second was necessary.
Yulangs eyes shown with Brilliance when the dust had settled knowing he had made Reika draw his second blade,as he laughed with confidence.
Reika drew the second blade from his left hand side vertically,while placing the blade on the right horizontally as the slash from the jade three pronged spear outsped the the shooting blades arriving first.
Reika took the attack the collision between it,and his blades sent shockwaves meanwhile the falling blades had finally reached a few metres from him the adrenaline allowed reika to sharpin his senses viewing the blades as if moving in slow motion.
He gritted his teeth as he overpowered the three pronged Spears attack sending it back along with the other blades,knocking the original 1 million leaf blade out of the sky back into the ground which was immediately picked up by Yulang.
Reika visibly panted Yulang too,but he had a final trump card as vines,and roots burst out from the ground surrounding,and holding Reika still while they bloomed with poisonous blossoms.
" I win!!", Yulang shouted as a spell began to form around his wrist as he would try to attempt enslavement.
But then Reika said one calm word.
" Burn".
A symbol of fire appeared on reikas forehead,as as Tornados of emphemeral fire such like the beauty of the orange setting sun surrounded him burning the veins that encased him.
Reikas red ruby eyes were opened,as he returned his second blade to its sheath,with one swift relaxed gesture.
The fire continued to burn hot as the ground beneath that was left shattered,and melted under its scorching scrutiny,so the remaining trees around Combust into flames as Yulangs face,and hands began to suffer from sun burns.
The poison released from the pollins effects had still done its job as Reika began to see multiple of his own hand spurting out blood.
He quickly switched his blade from his right to his left hand,placing it horizontally,and carressing the blade with his right hands fingers infusing it with mana,and fire.
" This ends", he said calmly.
Yulang had returned his items to his pocket space,then he saw his impending death,he bit his lip, his body told him to run,his right leg slid backwards,but he knew there was no escape from this upcoming attack so he decided to stand fearless at the very end.
But just then a wide beam of light shot out from the very sky right onto the Tengu chieftain as it tried to resist it had already been ingulfed in it,when he finally comprehended what had occured.
And saw the silhouette of the Tengu chieftains sinister smile engulfed in light,Yulang ran for his life,his heart pounding his breath rapid his vision hazy,he took this opportunity with both hands.
A tactical retreat he said.
