I quickly pulled up a taxi and got in and the moment I sat down was when I gave breath of relief and belief that I really just got the job and I guess I just found myself pulling out my phone and texting Mario about the job,I wanted to make it as simple as I possibly could I didn't want him to think I was informing him of my everyday life as if we were friends or something so I started out cool 'Hey ,you're good I just wanted to tell you I got a job.'I was a bit disappointed that only one tick showed and his last seen was hidden so I had no way of knowing when he was last active.I got home and waited for mom to come back and I had to say being home alone was lonely at the hospital it was better because it was always busy but here it was just so quiet and it felt miserable and suffocating,just then my phone rang it was Mario I was quite shocked that he called me and wanted to make it ring a little longer so he wouldn't get the wrong idea...but I just couldn't be rude like that and make him wait right?..that wouldn't be okay..so I quickly picked up just as it rang the second time "Wow..that was quick."I suddenly felt embarrassed and wanted the ground to swallow me whole "I...i..i..just happened to be close to the phone that's all."He started laughing as if mocking me "If you say so ,I saw your message congratulations."I felt a smile creeping in at the corner of my mouth and I suddenly frowned.Why was I getting excited "Uhm..thanks I wasn't informing you or anything ...I mean...we aren't even friends or anything I just thought...I should just tell you...that's...all."Each word was a stutter and that really mase me feel even more embarrassed"I hear you so how about we go out and celebrate your success?"Wait he wants to take me out??isn't it too early for that??wait let me stop getting ahead of myself he just wants to celebrate that I got a job 'get ahold of yourself Kao what's wrong with you?'I felt my subconscious screaming at me.i guess I must have zoned out for a long time "Kao??Are you still there??...Hello??"."Ooh.. Yes I'm still here.Yeah I'm down we can go.where do you want us to go?."He got quite for a while "Ooh well that's a surprise I'll come pick you up later just dress natural. Why is it a surprise it's not like we're a couple going on a dating or anything like that"Okay no problem.see you then."He dropped the call and texted me to send him my location,I sent it to him and checked my wardrobe for something 'normal' and put it in bed and waited for him it was 4 o'clock and he said he'd pick me up by 7,I was way too excited but wait....what if he wants to kidnap me and sell me to traffickers?I mean we've only met twice and it was always at night...or maybe he's a ghost and is haunting me ..each thought came with doubt and hesitation and I couldn't stop myself from thinking about it.Or even worse he's the grim reaper and wants to kill me as early as possible.i haven't even started my new job yet..everything was coming at me at the same time but a call disturbed me"Hey pumpkin ,I'm sorry I don't think I'm coming home tonight I just got an extra shift I'll be back tomorrow afternoon.There's food in the fridge and eat some of the fruits okay?"she sounded exhausted ,I wanted to tell her the good news but I could tell she was in a hurry "okay mom no problem."She told me she loved me and hanged up and I waited for Mario to show up ,I didn't eat any food just incase we were going to eat having a full stomach would be rude.I had a little nap and woke up at 6 and took a shower and put on my best suit and he was punctual exactly 7 o'clock.I went outside locked the door and went to him, and he was handsome it was already dark but he was standing under the streetlight his long hair laid back naturally ,he was wearing an all dark outfit like he was going to some funeral when I got close to him he just stared at me and said nothing just scanning me from head to toe.Was something wrong with my hair did I overdo it with the gel?I had no idea until he spoke"i said dress normally and you chose a business outfit.How outdated are you?"He said that laughing "Well it doesn't matter ,let's go I'll get you a new outfit on the way."I wanted to argue but he was already going to his car.i was expecting us to get a cab not that he had a car and not just any car a whole mustang did he steal it??He opened the door for me and saw I was hesitant"It's a friend of mines don't worry."That's when I finally let my guard down and got in,he made a quick stop near a dark alley and came out running as if he stole something that got me alert and just then he threw black shorts,a T-shirt and a cap at me"get dressed quickly."with that he drove the car very fast and just then another car started chasing us and i really felt scared "Oh my God what did you do?Did you steal these things, ooh god I'm not ready to die.It's not my time."He was just driving fast and smiling at me like a fool"Why are smiling??."
