Born from imagination, yet somehow their presence felt undeniably real. They would emerge whenever someone called their name, whenever someone needed help the most - a hero, a saint, and a friend. Many say that one should always remain strong, yet they never mention that everyone has a limit to their strength. They never say what one should do when that strength finally runs out. Should one simply give up, or finally reach out and ask another to help carry the weight?
Ontological status (Post-Great war): The entity remained largely intact following the Great War, with only the western sector suffering damage from several hostile mechanical weapons resembling toys. The survivors currently require no additional supplies; however, a task force will be deployed to locate and neutralize the hostile machines.
Overview:
Peyi Mil-Koule Mil-Koule Mil-Koule, officially known as the Peyi Mil-Koule Mil-Koule Mil-Koule Spiritual Cosmology Fellowship, lies in northern Seluca, bordering the Sulu Sea to the north, Kernevel to the east, Acludion to the south, and Lesmont to the west.
She is witty, whimsical, and endlessly fascinated by knowledge beyond the ordinary - the stranger and more mysterious it is, the more she adores it. Others may call her irrational, superstitious, folkloric, or pseudoscientific, while she proudly believes she understands things others simply cannot. And, to some extent, she actually does. Yet for all her supposed wisdom, she is remarkably gullible and impressionable, easily accepting almost anything she considering weird. Despite her fascination with taboo and forbidden subjects, she remains calm, naive, and strangely innocent, viewing everyday life through a mystical lens as though the supernatural were perfectly normal. However, questioning her beliefs too skeptically can quickly irritate her, few things offend her more than someone dismissing what she considers hidden truth.
About Peyi Mil-Koule:
☾ Veve Nwe is a uniquely Milkouwa term tied to folk religion, esotericism, and the occult. For thousands of years, mystical traditions across Peyi Mil-Koule have been extremely diverse.
☾ Across the country are small shrines called Ti Lotel, dedicated to spirits, gods, ancestors, or protectors. They vary by region and are an important national symbol.
☾ The rare Granmiste Tree grows only in Peyi Mil-Koule. Its trunk twists like a loose string, while strange pointed white leaves bloom from its branches throughout the entire year.
☾ Peyi Mil-Koule was once a patchwork of nations with hundreds of different beliefs. During the Age of Klete in the 900s, centuries of religious conflict gave way to a cultural and spiritual renaissance that helped shape modern Peyi Mil-Koule.
☾ Never interrupt someone performing a ritual in Peyi Mil-Koule—even if they happen to be doing it somewhere bizarre. It is considered an enormous taboo, said to invite disastrous supernatural consequences.
☾ Milkouwa religion traditionally views the land as a meeting place of countless divinities whose rivalries can affect the mortal world. Many religious traditions therefore focus less on worshipping one deity and more on maintaining balance between them.
☾ Outsiders often describe the Milkouwa people as mysterious or uncanny, though they are usually friendly, humorous, and lively - just exhausted from their many mystical responsibilities.
Brief modern history:
I. CULTURAL GENOCIDE AND THE CONSQUENCES OF INDEPENDENCE IN PEYI MIL-KOULE (1259)
Throughout the savage era of Lesmontar regional hegemony, no vassal state endured a more ruinous enslavement than Peyi Mil-Koule. The occupying junta directed a methodical campaign of cultural obliteration. These imperialists ]dismantled the indigenous administrative architecture, extirpated the aboriginal vernacular, monopolized pedagogical infrastructure, and systematically sought to eradicate the ontological premise of a distinct Milkoulwa identity.
Although the polity finally secured unqualified sovereignty on April 5, 1259, succeeding decades of grueling kinetic resistance, this emancipatory triumph instantaneously precipitated an acute geopolitical exigency. The precipitous excision of the Lesmontar bureaucracy engineered an institutional paralysis. This nascent, untethered republic was immediately paralyzed by macroeconomic trauma, overwhelming demographic displacements, volatile naturalization disputes, and systemic hyper-unemployment. More insidiously, the traumatized Milkoulwa people succumbed to an epidemic of collective existential despondency. Within a mere twelve months of emancipation, the national auto-fatality metric spiked to an unprecedented 1:5 ratio of enacting self-termination amidst the bleak nihilism.
Devoid of centralized governance or visionary statesmanship capable of synthesizing the splintered polity, Peyi Mil-Koule devolved into terminal systemic decay. In the absence of a federal directorate, antiquated localized sanctuaries and their presiding ecclesiastics precipitously emerged as the exclusive, de facto civic arbiters. The historiography of this era remains fractured, eschewing a cohesive macro-narrative, the historical ledger was idiosyncratically chronicled by hundreds of insular municipal scribes and theological figures.
Amidst this socio-political desolation, the indigenous animist traditions - having marginally survived decades of autocratic suppression - experienced a macroscopic renaissance. For the decimated citizenry, the reclamation of ancestral spiritual paradigms became a vital means of psychological palliation and communal cohesion amid civilizational rupture.
II. THE GREAT CONFLAGRATION AND THE ERA OF THE SAVIOR (1263-1271)
The existential despondency incapacitating Peyi Mil-Koule was exacerbated in November 1263 by a devastating urban inferno. Originating in Senlo from an erroneously executed animist ritual, an errant spark - propelled by a gale-force zephyr - spiraled into an uncontrollable firestorm. This inferno engulfed the contiguous municipalities of Ti-Sel and Lalin, raging unmitigated until November 22 and reducing the affected metropolitan infrastructure to scorched rubble.
This infrastructural obliteration precipitated institutional breakdown by March 1264. Endemic administrative ineptitude triggered a pan-national deficit of fundamental survival resources. Although allies expedited humanitarian provisions, the splintering of Peyi's logistical matrices stranded these subsidies at the frontiers, abandoning the hinterland to famine. Observing this paralysis, contemporary historiographers theorized the polity had breached the brink of state failure, facing imminent geopolitical dissolution. Amid this deprivation, a psychosocial coping mechanism proliferated in the form of localized cinematic theatricalities centered on heroic avatars, reflecting the aspirations of a traumatized proletariat yearning for messianic emancipation.
As macroscopic destitution reached its nadir in 1266, this celluloid fantasy manifested corporeally. Within the gelid, hyper-boreal Fonrouj bale, the enigmatic autocrat Selorre Belat began a spectacular ascent. Harnessing charismatic authority and disciplined pragmatism, Selorre promulgated the National Renewal Strategy, restoring jurisprudential orthodoxy, rationalizing resource distribution, and amalgamating fractured aboriginal animisms into a consolidated doctrinal framework.
Following Fonrouj's stabilization, Selorre exported this restorative paradigm across the shattered state through Pwoje Leve Kanpe. To the beleaguered population, Selorre became the incarnation of their fictional redeemers - a mythological avatar descending to rectify reality. By 1270, civic equilibrium was reconstituted, converging in Selorre's unanimous investiture as preeminent ruler. On January 1, 1271, the consecration of the Peyi Mil-Koule Spiritual Cosmology Fellowship institutionalized this resurrection, transforming a tottering colonial vestige into a unified, sovereign theocracy.
III. THE LESMONT WAR AND THE ENHANCEMENT OF LEGITIMACY OF SELORRE BELAT (1271–1273)
By acceding to the Yellow Circle syndicate in 1259, Peyi Mil-Koule intrinsically tethered its strategic trajectory to the alliance's geopolitical imperatives, thereby locking the nascent state into an adversarial posture against Lesmont and unavoidably precipitating its entry into the armed conflict on 25 April 1271. At home, many doubted that the new government had the military strength to resist the powerful empire. As a result, the early stages of the conflict were marked by public fear and military uncertainty.
Battle of Wochble (Peyi Mil-Koule), 27 May – 4 August 1271: Anticipating an summary conquest, the Lesmontar speerheads was instead violently arrested and repulsed from sovereign territory. This kinetic triumph transcended mere tactical defense, it fundamentally transmuted public morale, substantiating the embryonic state's capacity to endure severe exogenous aggression.
Battle of Dife-Ble Fortress (Peyi Mil-Koule), 13 January – 8 May 1272: Operating in synergy with Kernevel, Peyi Mil-Koule interdicted another macroscopic Lesmontar thrust. This engagement marked the adversary's terminal concerted offensive into Milkoulwa domains. Henceforth, the strategic vector inverted, with Peyi Mil-Koule projecting expeditionary operations directly into hostile territory.
Battle of Brecque (Lesmont), 18 June – 10 July 1273: Peyi Mil-Koule expropriated this pivotal municipal node, facilitating dominion over septentrional Lesmont and encircling approximately 10,000 adversarial combatants. This critical entrapment precipitated substantial consternation within the enemy high command, representing the Yellow Circle's inaugural - and terminal - strategic penetration of the conflict.
Nevertheless, localized primacy at Brecque proved insufficient to mitigate the macro-systemic implosion of the coalition's perimeter. Acludion's defensive architecture disintegrated, affording the opposition a decisive, theater-wide breakthrough. As the strategic calculus precipitously degraded, Peyi and its confederates were coerced into ratifying the Sermant Blanc accord on August 15, 1273, compelling the beleaguered state to concede defeat and disburse marginal punitive indemnities.
Paradoxically, this geopolitical forfeiture prodigiously fortified the domestic administration. Selorre Belat's astute statesmanship, resilient defensive doctrines, and adept crisis management catalyzed unparalleled regime legitimacy.
IV. THE ANCESTRAL REVIVAL, THE TI LAKOU ZANMI PROGRAMME AND THE GATHERING STORM (1275–1290)
In the aftermath of the Lesmont War, Selorre Selorre's administration increasingly pivoted toward antiquity to forge a cohesive autochthonous national identity. On 15 October 1275, the state instituted the Retabli Lafwa Zanset, a sweeping initiative designed to resurrect indigenous folk religions and ancestral rites suppressed during epochs of foreign dominance across the bales. Bureaucratic strictures on spiritual expression were consequently ameliorated, empowering municipalities to reconstruct localized sanctuaries, revive dormant ceremonies, and openly promulgate traditional cosmological dogmas.
A particularly enigmatic archaeological revelation materialized in October 1279 with the excavation of a dilapidated sanctuary situated within a secluded enclave of the Bwa Do bales. Curiously, no extant historiographical archives documented the edifice, nor did any recovered artifacts corroborate an affiliation with an established pantheon. Notwithstanding this obscurity, the monument underwent extensive restoration and was subsequently appropriated as Selorre's official private redoubt.
Concurrently, geopolitical friction with Lesmont escalated dramatically. The period spanning from 1280 to 1286 was punctuated by recurrent frontier hostilities, culminating at the Tanp Zetwale Shrine. During this decisive juncture, Peyi Mil-Koule detachments successfully repelled a Lesmontar vanguard advancing upon Belzou shrine. This volatile engagement propelled the regional hegemons to the precipice of total warfare. A subsequent diplomatic summit in 1283 proved deeply ineffectual, ultimately exacerbating bilateral animosity between the adversarial states.
Operating under the paradigm that armed conflict was inevitable, the regime promulgated the Nouvo Fos reforms in 1287, fundamentally restructuring and modernizing the state's martial apparatus. A quintessential hallmark of this military overhaul was the inception of the Ko Sosye Wouj, specialized tactical cadres commissioned to integrate incantations and arcane methodologies - distilled from the recently resuscitated folk traditions - into their operational theater.
In March 1290, Selorre inaugurated Ti Lakou Zanmi, a serialized broadcast exclusively authored by Selorre solely. Transmitted on alternating evenings, its amalgamation of didactic fables and principled satire captivated a vast, multi-generational demographic. By this juncture, Selorre's sphere of influence had transcended conventional statecraft, permeating the realms of theology, military ethos, and mass dissemination.
V. THE SECOND GREAT WAR OF ELDERVALE (1292–1294)
On 3 March 1292, at the apogee of the Second Great War of Eldervale, Lesmont unilaterally reignited hostilities against the Yellow Circle, ever onward plunging Peyi Mil-Koule into renewed belligerency. Notwithstanding years of rigorous martial capacitation, Selorre Selorre initially maintained a paradigm of strategic attrition, endeavoring to hemorrhage Lesmontar army rather than instigating a precipitate counter-offensive.
Battle of Tchak (Peyi Mil-Koule), 16 April – 6 June 1292: Wherein Peyi Mil-Koule phalanxes repulsed a Lesmontar foreguard encroaching upon the Makara bales, thereby safeguarding the sacrosanct Twa-Krab sanctuary. This tactical vindication preserved the geopolitical perimeter and fortified institutional credulity in Selorre's overarching defensive orthodoxy.
The Evermoon (Peyi Mil-Koule), 19 April – 2 August 1293: Localized predominantly within the environs of Tchave and precincts of the Mistik metropolis. The preponderance of these engagements transpired amidst consecrated sanctuaries. Following exhaustive liturgical preparations, the ecclesiastical cadres embedded within the infantry ostensibly invoked incantations engineered to amplify physiological fortitude and regenerate non-lethal traumas.
Battle of Poze (Peyi Mil-Koule), 9 August 1293 – 7 January 1294: Historiographically canonized as the most protracted and intense thaumaturgical confrontation of the hostilities. Archival chronicles attest to the invocation or nascent conceptualization of over one thousand discrete sorcerous phenomena amidst the siege. The most pernicious of these maledictions inflicted excruciating gastrointestinal pathologies, with documented etiologies detailing afflicted combatants expectorating pure terrestrial sediment.
Following months of grueling attrition, Lesmont unconditionally relinquished subsequent endeavors to project hegemony directly into Peyi jurisdiction.
Battle of Tibil (Peyi Mil-Koule), 11 February – 6 May 1294: Peyi Mil-Koule detachments synchronized tactical maneuvers with Acludion forces to preempt Lesmont from replicating the strategic circumvention that had incapacitated the coalition during the antecedent conflict. Amidst the carnage, Milkoulwa hierophants projected a malediction upon Lesmontar imperator Henri Dumaresq, regressing his cognitive and behavioral faculties to a puerile state for nearly a chronological month.
The overarching martial theater culminated on 29 June 1294 via the promulgation of the Pax of Seraphic, a geopolitical settlement Peyi Mil-Koule formally ratified on 5 July. Domestically, this diplomatic resolution was construed as a monumental vindication.
VI. THE BEL TAN AGE AND THE OPENING OF THE HEAVENS (1295–1305)
In June 1295, the state promulgated the Lide Relijye e Lide Lokal, a sweeping mandate empowering sanctioned ecclesiastical hierarchs to concurrently exercise municipal geopolitical suzerainty and bypass intermediary bureaucracies to submit micro-strategic resolutions directly to the local apparatus. This institutional restructuring precipitously amplified the hegemonic sway of theological establishments. Consequently, esoteric methodologies proliferated in tandem with orthodox veneration, precipitating a kaleidoscopic genesis of novel dogmas, schismatic sects, and hermeneutic paradigms across the Peyi Mil-Koule Mil-Koule polity.
Between February and May 1298, the nation endured a colossal atmospheric rupture materialized within the celestial canopy above Peyi Mil-Koule, radiating an incandescent violet luminescence. Archival testimonies allege that hundreds of individuals were gravitationally levitated from the terrestrial plane and assimilated into the vortex prior to its abrupt dissipation. None were subsequently documented to have repatriated. This phenomenon, historiographically recognized as the Raptured Hole, was pervasively hermeneuticized through the polity's multifarious indigenous theological frameworks, albeit no singular epistemological consensus was ever universally ratified.
In 1300, Selorre Belat inaugurated the Chimen Inite e Renouvelman, an encyclopedic socio-political overhaul encompassing bureaucratic institutionalization, cultural renaissance, societal stratification fluidity, macroeconomic equilibrium, and administrative homogenization. Crucially, it codified the civic prerogative for individuals to engage in concurrent polytheistic syncretism. Subsequent ages would retrospectively consecrate this mandate as one of the most paradigm-shifting decrees in Peyi Mil-Koule annals. Its triumphant implementation catalyzed the inception of the Bel Tan Age, enduring into the 1320s and frequently placed alongside by Milkoulwa historiographers alongside the venerated Age of Klete of the antecedent century.
Belat further democratized civic engagement in September 1304 via the Million Wishes initiative. Every denizen was solicited to anonymously articulate a singular teleological aspiration for the polity's trajectory. The centralized governance evaluated these petitions, curating propositions deemed pragmatically viable, and institutionalized a protracted commitment to their incremental actualization over subsequent administrative cycles.
Nevertheless, socioeconomic amelioration proved ineffectual in mitigating the polity's preternatural anomalies. Throughout 1305, chronicles proliferated of pallid, diaphanous anthropomorphic entities silently traversing municipalities at all hours. Eyewitnesses alleged that humanlike viscera remained visible within their pellucid forms. Near these apparitions, monumental lithic staircases spontaneously materialized, ascending into the troposphere, their apexes perpetually obscured beneath immutable altostratus. State authorities exhorted the populace against ascending them, emphasizing the absolute paucity of evidence that these stairways terminated at any corporeal destination.
VII. THE LATER BEL TAN AGE (1308–1329)
In May 1308, Peyi Mil-Koule's counterintelligence apparatus unmasked a ubiquitous Lesmontar espionage syndicate operating sub-rosa within its sovereign frontiers. This machination, christened the Castries Noir Affair, constituted the most blatant manifestation of exogenous subversion in Milkoulwa historiography, facilitating the implementation of draconian strictures upon transnational ingress. Bilateral paranoia intensified precipitously in January 1310, when a phalanx of Lesmontar automatons transgressed Peyi Mil-Koule's territorial demarcations. Although Lesmontar plenipotentiaries diagnosed the ensuing Machine Border Crisis as an inadvertent cybernetic aberration, the Mil-Koule directorate remained implacably incredulous.
In 1314, the government inaugurated the Procession of All Gods, a calendrical ecclesiastical jubilee convened within the metropolitan epicenter every 10 January, wherein virtually every sanctioned cosmological paradigm participated. Its inaugural iteration was universally appraised as a superlative administrative coup, masterfully harmonizing diametrically distinct doxologies into a singular, monumental liturgy without precipitating ruinous sectarian conflagration.
By October 1317, the pelagic expanses abutting the Sulu Sea spontaneously ascended into a monolithic, perpendicular hydro-structure spanning thousands of kilometers (miles). This aqueous edifice sustained an upward trajectory across successive months. Peyi Mil-Koule alongside Kernevel requisitioned exploratory flotillas and provisioned maritime armadas to orchestrate transversal penetrations of this anomalous hydro-phenomenon before the structural integrity of the pelagic palisade precipitously disintegrated following a quadrimesteral duration.
On 28 November 1323, the Chimen Lespri theological movement materialized within the southern Lalin bale, catalyzed by the serendipitous exhumation of multitudinous antiquarian manuscripts chronicling obsolescent spiritual praxis. The pervasive promulgation of these archaic grimoires fomented a resurgent period of metaphysical empiricism, thereby exponentially amplifying the ideological heterodoxy of an already hyper-saturated ecclesiastical tapestry.
Selorre Belat made an appearance on 17 April 1325, articulating a monumental oration delineating the teleological trajectory characterizing Peyi Mil-Koule. Given protracted sequestration and conspicuous absenteeism from the sociopolitical theater during antecedent epochs, this manifestation fomented pervasive societal discourse and rampant conjecture regarding the prolonged isolation. This encompassed widespread civic interrogations scrutinizing physiological vitality, albeit no definitive epistemological consensus was ever elucidated.
In 1329, the state mobilized a maritime incursion toward the chronically forsaken Soley-Leve Archipelago, a topography languishing in pervasive inaccessibility beneath a tempestuous canopy of perpetual, roseate atmospheric supercells. The exploratory teams unearthed multifarious derelict sanctuaries harboring fundamentally incognizable totems of veneration, compared against an abundance of osteological detritus. Empirical stratigraphy substantiated that indigenous cohorts historically populated this archipelago, nevertheless, neither their genealogical provenance nor the sociological rationale for colonizing such a deleterious biosphere could be deciphered. The Soley-Leve enigma thereby metamorphosed into an intractable archaeological conundrum and epistemological controversy.
VIII. WHEN THE SEALS BROKE (1333-1340)
In April 1333, an esoteric liturgy executed within Peyi Mil-Koule terminated calamitously. Rather than actualizing its teleological imperative, the praxis inadvertently unshackled Dyab San-Non, a pernicious preternatural entity purportedly incarcerated for millennia. Once emancipated, this eldritch abomination fractured the carceral wards of contiguous imprisoned primordial beings, encompassing Wa San, Met San, Kon Dife, etcs. This cataclysm was historiographically christened simply as the Unsealing.
The state apparatus instantaneously decreed martial law and totalitarian demographic conscription. The existential magnitude of this incursion compelled erstwhile geopolitical adversaries into an unprecedented multilateral coalition including Acludion, Tavrikon, Kernevel, Ornazia, Lesmont, Bellatorum, and Peyi Mil-Koule mobilized immense armadas against these emancipated primordial aberrations.
Battle of Belmon (Peyi Mil-Koule), 19 March – 12 August 1334: The coalition effectively preempted this thaumaturgical pestilence from permeating the Peyi Mil-Koule heartland. Nevertheless, these belligerent encounters inflicted ontological fractures upon the very substratum of reality, obligating martial tacticians to coalese unprecedented operational doctrines calibrated for anomalous topographies wherein empirical ontological paradigms were rendered fundamentally obsolete.
Battle of Vantdout (Peyi Mil-Koule), 10 July – 27 December 1335: The coalition phalanxes debilitated the San's brother entities and hermetically occluded multifarious interdimensional portals channeling auxiliary monstrosities into the terrestrial sphere. This tactical vindication facilitated a hyper-boreal advance, albeit neither belligerent faction established a demonstrably decisive strategic preponderance.
Battle of Dousmare (Peyi Mil-Koule), 8 January – 1 April 1337: Contextualized within the Ke-Fe Campaign, precipitated the subjugation of the Van-Tonne Shrine. This topography suffered a necrotic malediction wherein the ontological paradigm of mortality temporarily ceased functioning, incarcerating both vanguards in perpetual, regenerative carnage until the localized thaumaturgical anomaly was dispelled. Concurrently, Kon Dife was successfully re-incarcerated amidst the hostilities.
The Fall March (Peyi Mil-Koule), 15 September – 8 December 1338: Unprecedentedly, the primordial entities deployed anthropomorphic homunculi amidst the civilian demographic. Coalition cadres systematically vanquished Lanfen, Krazfe, Sosyel, alongside ancillary atrocities, thereby preempting Dyab San-Non from transmuting the encompassing Tazanka bale into Nwit Sanfen - a metaphysical plane characterized by perpetual torment. This martial crusade later transmuted into a quintessential salient mythos within Peyi Mil-Koule's esoteric historiography.
The Ansalin offensive (Peyi Mil-Koule), 11 May – 6 November 1339: Anthropocentric psychological terrors allegedly eventuated as corporeal manifestations. The ensuing armed slaughter precipitated the most sanguinary mortality rates of the entire geopolitical conflagration, whilst simultaneously inflicting severe ontological debilitation upon Dyab San-Non. Henceforth, both contending forces devolved into a mutually exhaustive paradigm of debilitated decimating attrition.
Battle of Mon-Ve (Peyi Mil-Koule), 7 January - 10 November 1340: The definitive terminal offensive augmented by the Pelican Union and the Spindle, the multilateral vanguard intruded upon Dyab San-Non's vestigial redoubt. The primordial aberration expended virtually all of its residual thaumaturgical capacities amidst protracted decimation. On 10 November, concerted precisely with its endeavor to conjure Sangrav, Milkoulwa hierophants executed a ultimate bind spell, categorically re-incarcerating Dyab San-Non. The Unsealing War was subsequently proclaimed officially terminated.
This triumph rendered Peyi Mil-Koule radically reconfigured with entire municipalities lay systematically obliterated or perpetually forsaken, necessitating a pervasive demographic re-urbanization, whilst the state promulgated stringent legislative measures regulating esoteric liturgies, ritual praxis, and metaphysical experimentation.
IX. THE LAST YEARS OF SELORRE BELAT (1345–1351)
On 10 December 1345, the inquisitorial mandate terminated in the apprehension of Loic Marc-Antoine for premeditating the proscribed circumvention of a preternatural entity's carceral ward. This juridical inquiry rapidly proliferated, unmasking a pervasive covert network encompassing hundreds of ecclesiastical hierarchs, bureaucratic functionaries, and political elites. Indictments spanned from administrative venality and sacrilege to illicit invocational methodology and calculated endeavors to emancipate incarcerated primordial abominations. Marc-Antoine and his co-conspirators were condemned to ontological soul-sealing, a capital punitive measure exclusively earmarked for the most egregious metaphysical transgressions.
This widespread controversy transformed into the most mortifying institutional ignominy characterizing the era of Selorre Selorre's hegemony. Confronting pervasive societal censure regarding the regulatory bankruptcies that propelled such systemic metaphysical subterfuge, Selorre articulated an exceptionally public mea culpa, appropriating culpability for the governing institution's administrative dereliction.
In 1348, Selorre finalized the ideological canon of Heart-Veilism, an esoteric theological paradigm predicated upon ontological essence, introspective existentiality, cognitive retention, and the perpetual continuity of the metaphysical ego. Amalgamated from the antiquated ancestral doctrine of Breathkeeping.
By May 1350, Peyi Mil-Koule was consecrated as having attained Pangea-Flouris - a socioeconomic threshold wherein a polity is appraised as having actualized its absolute zenith of pragmatic developmental maximization.
In the ensuing period, in June 1351, Selorre Belat unceremoniously absconded. Extant historiography yields no empirically robust exegesis explicating Selorre spatial trajectory or the mechanics of the dematerialization. A solitary epistolary fragment survived: "Peyi Mil-Koule possesses the autonomy to devise its own teleological destiny." The terminal transmission of Ti Lakou Zanmi, broadcast in proximate chronological juxtaposition, was rretrospectively legitimized as Selorre's valedictory public oration.
The spontaneous disappearance remained as enigmatic as the inaugural sociopolitical materialization. Within successive collective historiographical memory, Selorre was multifariously venerated as a messianic redeemer, martial champion, institutional visionary, and one of the most distinguished luminaries in Peyi Mil-Koule's annals. Sellore's antecedent residential sanctuary was transfigured into a national sanctified heritage redoubt, with a monumental effigy immortalizing the physiognomy enshrined within its innermost sanctum. The monumental effigy exhibited physiognomic characteristics officially chronicled as [RECORD ALTERED BY AUTHORIZED GOVERNMENT PERSONNEL].
X. AFTER SELORRE AND THE FOUNDING OF THE CIVIC CONFEDERACY (1351–1355)
In the aftermath of Selorre Belat's enigmatic absconding, the Peyi Mil-Koule polity began its inaugural national plebiscite in August 1351. Virtually every preeminent municipal hierarchy entered the electoral contest, precipitating a protracted period of bureaucratic paralysis as no singular contender could ultimately consolidate a requisite mandate.
This constitutional interregnum endured until mid-1352, when Naika Roseline Laurent, an antecedent subordinate of Selorre, promulgated the institutional framework for the Civic Regional Confederacy. This paradigm devolved expansive autonomous suzerainty to municipally governed provincial demarcations whilst tethering them beneath an integrated local apparatus whose purview legitimacy derived explicitly from populist enfranchisement. Furthermore, the executive paramountcy was mandated to maintain theological impartiality, thereby embodying the secularized nation-state rather than elevating any particular religious doctrine.
The proposition accrued ubiquitous socio-political endorsement, culminating in Laurent's ascension as the premier executive, thereby formally inaugurating the post-Belat geopolitical paradigm within the Peyi Mil-Koule polity.
Selorre's sociopolitical resonance, nevertheless, remained indomitable across the popular cultural zeitgeist. On 21 May 1355, the cinematic opus Pitit Lage premiered, reconstructing the chivalric and evocative nostalgic milieu characteristic of Peyi Mil-Koule throughout the 1250s and 1260s. Featuring Selorre as the heroic protagonist, the narrative chronicled Selorre's existential crusade to salvage the embattled polity.
Pitit Lage ascended to unparalleled cinematic preeminence and was subsequently consecrated as an indelible component of Peyi Mil-Koule's cultural patrimony. Its achivements resonance proved extraordinary given the opus necessitated protracted decades to actualize, solidifying into one of the most paradigm-defining cultural artifacts of the post-Selorre era.
XI. OMENS OVER THE CONFEDERACY (1355–1378)
In February 1361, the Art of Spellcasting was codified following protracted collaborative pursuits among multitudinous thaumaturges. Universally appraised as the most meticulously distilled compendium of esoteric epistemology generated within Peyi Mil-Koule, the tome was expeditiously assimilated into the pedagogical curriculum.
Between 1365 and 1368, multifarious clerical organizations administered subversive insurrections against the secularized local apparatus, asserting that divine or preternatural manifestations merited unqualified sovereign competence over the polity. Albeit these seditious machinations uniformly disintegrated, they exacerbated societal apprehension regarding progressively extremist, heterodox cults.
In 1370, Anita Marjolene Lafleur was elevated as the executive sovereign. The plebiscite advanced at a glacial trajectory, predominantly obstructed by intractable factionalism directed by multitudinous religious hierarchs. Consequently, the bureaucracy instituted a streamlined deliberative synod and promulgated aggressive anti-paralysis procedural mechanisms designed to insulate subsequent electoral mandates from protracted bureaucratic quagmires.
In 1374, pervasive manifestations of the Renakou - mythological, deca-tailed, roseate twin vulpines - were chronicled across the country. These preternatural entities had purportedly remained imperceptible since Lesmont's belligerent annexation of Peyi Mil-Koule throughout the 1220s, prompting multitudinous demographics to hermeneuticize their materialization as a portentous harbinger of imminent transformation.
Bilateral hostilities with Lesmont intensified precipitously in 1378. Along the geopolitical demarcation, Lesmontar vanguards systematically deployed sonic amplification apparatuses to promulgate revisionist propaganda asserting Peyi's venerated national paragon lacked historical actuality. These psychological provocations engendered catastrophic diplomatic destabilization, propelling both sovereign entities perilously toward the precipice of totalized warfare.
This age of comparative geopolitical equilibrium persisted uninterrupted until the eruption of the Third Great War.
Ideology: Heart-Veilism
Heart-Veilism is a spiritual ideology founded on the belief that the visible world is only the outer skin of reality. Beneath every place, object, and living thing exists an unseen spiritual counterpart, meaning that the world is never truly empty. All things possess the potential for spiritual presence, and inherited possessions may accumulate memory, significance, or even forms of consciousness through time, use, and human contact. Creations are therefore not understood as passive matter, but as participants in existence, capable of entering relationships with those around them. Within Heart-Veilism, the sacred is neither universal nor uniform. Divinity emerges differently across peoples, places, traditions, and circumstances, so no single doctrine can fully describe every spiritual reality. For this reason, contradiction is not necessarily considered falsehood. Two opposing myths may both be sacred, because spiritual truth is not expected to obey ordinary logic or exist within a single consistent framework.
Mystery is equally essential. A community, culture, or sacred place requires something obscurity in order to preserve its spiritual identity. Total openness is believed to weaken the sacred by stripping away the boundaries that give it power and distinction. Yet what becomes forgotten does not necessarily disappear. Suppressed traditions, abandoned beliefs, and neglected spiritual forces may continue beneath society, sometimes returning in distorted, hostile forms. Spiritual forces themselves are not assumed to be morality. Sacredness describes a condition of power, presence, and significance rather than moral virtue. The supernatural may follow laws and purposes entirely alien to human morality, for the cosmos does not exist solely for human benefit. Humanity is only one class of beings among countless presences, some far older than civilization itself.
Reality is therefore understood as a collection of overlapping states of existence, none of which can be reduced entirely to the material world. Nothing exists in complete isolation, every action may disturb relationships extending far beyond its visible consequences. The universe is not a finished creation but an ongoing process, continuously shaped by many forces, intentions, and sources. Lack of understanding does not imply nonexistence, for mystery is treated as a genuine feature of reality rather than merely a temporary absence of knowledge. Distinctions between things remain useful, but their boundaries are ultimately porous. Above all, Heart-Veilism holds that existence is reciprocal, nothing receives without giving, and nothing gives without being changed in return.
