Karl had one life principle:
If the situation feels wrong—retreat immediately.
Reporters were not his battlefield.
He'd spent years in the Marines, and he had never voluntarily given an interview.
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, your silence—does that mean you admit responsibility?!"
Karl pulled his collar up and slipped away without a word.
Let Sengoku handle the press.
He preferred blades to microphones.
Near Long Ring Long Land
A pirate lookout squinted at the sky.
"Captain! There's something in the air—looks like a person!"
"Stop hallucinating!"
Above them—
Enel raised his right hand.
Lightning gathered.
"Divine Judgment!!!"
A colossal lightning pillar crashed down.
The pirate ship was obliterated instantly.
Electricity danced across the sea surface.
Debris floated in smoking fragments.
Enel scoffed.
"So this is piracy?"
"How pitiful."
Then—
He slapped his thigh.
He had meant to seize a ship.
Not vaporize it.
"…Next one."
Long Ring Long Land – Shoreline
Enel returned—
And froze.
Karl stood there.
Waiting.
Enel's expression darkened instantly.
"You told me to destroy Mary Geoise."
"I did."
"Now fulfill your promise."
Karl smiled faintly.
"You did well."
"Better than I expected."
He reached into his coat—
Actually pulling from his system space—
A translucent blue candy.
He even layered it with a minor buff effect for authenticity.
"Here."
"The antidote."
Enel caught it, inspected briefly, then swallowed.
Sweet.
Warm sensation spreading.
It felt convincing.
"Now we're even," Karl said calmly.
"Return to Skypiea. Move your Ark."
"Best avoid the Blue Sea for now."
Enel laughed arrogantly.
"Skypiea?"
"I've outgrown it."
"The Blue Sea suits a god."
"And hiding?"
"Not my style."
Karl sighed.
"Suit yourself."
"But if you want real power—"
"Go to the New World."
Enel raised a brow.
Karl shrugged casually.
"This is the first half of the Grand Line. Paradise."
"The true rulers of the sea reside in the New World."
"You wouldn't plan to rule here, would you?"
Enel's face twitched.
"Of course not."
"I am destined to stand above all."
"I'll get a ship and head to the New World."
A ship?
That meant Sabaody again.
Fish-Man Island.
Complications.
No.
Better to accelerate matters.
Karl smiled thinly—
And unsheathed Shusui.
Without even turning—
He swung.
A massive black flying slash tore through the air.
Enel's priests—too slow to react—
Were cut cleanly in half.
Blood splattered across the shore.
"What are you doing?!" Enel roared.
Lightning lashed toward Karl.
"Busoshoku · Iron Body."
The lightning struck.
And vanished.
As if absorbed by an ocean.
Enel stared in disbelief.
You couldn't at least block it with your blade?
Karl dusted his shoulder casually.
"I won't hold it against you."
"But they were weak."
"Dead weight."
"Now you're free."
"Free to go to the New World."
Enel's expression twisted.
"You kill my subordinates—just to push me there?"
"Then I refuse!"
Boom—
Karl's Conqueror's Haki exploded outward.
The air trembled.
Enel's body froze for half a heartbeat.
Enough.
Karl vanished—
Reappearing before him in an instant.
A blackened hand seized Enel's throat.
"You have no standing to bark at me."
"I say go to the New World."
"You go."
"Or you don't go anywhere."
Enel's eyes bloodshot.
Veins bulging.
Still defiant.
Karl's blade Leiyu slid from its sheath—
And pierced Enel's abdomen.
Blood poured freely.
The crimson steel gleamed hungrily.
Karl withdrew the blade.
Enel collapsed to one knee.
His eyes burned with hatred.
Karl's gaze hardened.
He couldn't keep him alive.
Originally, he'd planned to let Enel rampage.
Let the world see his danger.
Then capture him later—
A feat rivaling single-handedly defeating Whitebeard.
After all—
Enel had destroyed Mary Geoise.
Killed Celestial Dragons.
Even the Four Emperors had never crossed that line.
But now—
This man was too unstable.
"Disobedient men," Karl said quietly,
"Have no place in this world."
"Farewell."
A thunderclap split the sky.
Karl's pupils shrank.
He swung instantly toward Enel's head—
Enel grinned through blood-stained teeth.
Lightning erupted violently around him.
Karl was blasted backward.
Thunder descended.
Enel's body became engulfed in electricity.
Lightning condensed—
Layer upon layer—
Forming colossal armor of divine energy.
Karl didn't wait.
Two massive sword waves tore forward.
Enel's voice echoed through the storm—
"Two Hundred Million Volts—"
"Amaru!!!"
