Chapter 63 - The Voz-Karr Tribe Arrives

Sulyeon snorted. "Forget it. The Voz-Karr Tribe would never reveal how to build a pottery kiln. Pottery is exactly why they became the strongest tribe nearby."

"Minho! Beom! Immo!"

A beastman came running over while loudly calling their names.

"People from the Voz-Karr Tribe have arrived! The chief wants you all to come over! Oh right, Hayoon too!"

Hayoon stopped what she was doing with a confused expression.

The others being called over made sense since they were all part of the tribe's leadership.

But she was not.

She looked toward Immo, who was standing closest to her.

There was no surprise on his face at all as he casually clapped the dirt from his hands and stood up.

"Let's go take a look," he said.

Hayoon could only nod, wash her hands clean, and follow everyone else.

To travel faster, Beom transformed into his gray bear beast form and carried Immo on his back.

Meanwhile, Minho transformed into a giant python dozens of meters long and carried Hayoon instead.

Along the way, Immo seemed to notice Hayoon's nervousness and smiled reassuringly at her. "You do not need to worry. If I am not mistaken, the Voz-Karr Tribe probably came because of the weaving method."

Hayoon asked, "The Voz-Karr Tribe is the largest tribe nearby, right?"

Immo nodded. "Yes. Their tribe has more than two thousand people."

Hayoon could not help sighing in amazement.

"That is so many..."

Even the Ur-Shet Tribe only had around eight hundred people total, and that was already considered a fairly large tribe.

Supporting a massive tribe of two thousand people would require not only a huge territory but also enormous amounts of resources.

Sitting atop the giant python, Hayoon leaned forward slightly and asked curiously, "Then how do you know they came because of the weaving method?"

Immo explained, "Actually, quite a few small tribes have already come recently wanting to learn weaving from us. But as you can see, the Voz-Karr Tribe became so powerful just because of their pottery kiln. There is no way our tribe would casually trade away such an important weaving technique."

"Since no trade happened, the tribe did not mention it to you. Small tribes cannot afford the price for learning weaving, but perhaps the Voz-Karr Tribe can."

Hayoon understood immediately.

Since Chief Baek had specifically called them over, that meant the matter was already halfway decided.

Now it depended on how sincere the Voz-Karr Tribe was willing to be.

Past the Ur-Shet Tribe's altar stood Baek's home.

Outside his cave was also a simple grass shelter furnished with stone stools, a stone table, pottery bowls, and other items.

As for the hemp thread and waist loom, they were nowhere to be seen.

They had probably already been stored away inside his spatial storage.

The people from the Voz-Karr Tribe had originally been sitting inside the grass shelter waiting.

The moment they heard movement, they all stood up at once and walked toward them.

Immo and Hayoon climbed down first while Beom and Minho transformed back into their human forms.

By then, the people from the Voz-Karr Tribe had already arrived in front of them.

This was Hayoon's first time meeting people from another tribe since arriving in the beast world, so she could not help studying them with curiosity.

Their human forms were also tall and powerfully built, every one of them standing above one meter eighty-five.

Their appearances were handsome in completely different ways.

Hayoon realized something then.

Ever since arriving in the beast world, she had not seen a single ugly person.

Even Chief Baek who was over one hundred fifty years old was still a vigorous and spirited old man.

The people of the beast world truly seemed favored by the heavens.

Perhaps because their beast forms were different, the beastmen from the Voz-Karr Tribe were not as massively muscular as those from the Ur-Shet Tribe.

Their skin was also noticeably fairer.

Leading the group was a young man with long red hair tied into a beautiful flowing ponytail.

His features were elegant and slightly delicate, and his eyes and brows were extraordinarily refined.

He wore a short robe sewn from several large pieces of silvery-white fish skin patterned with pale yellow markings.

The material looked thin, smooth, and glossy.

The V-shaped collar was cut very low, revealing the defined lines of his toned abdomen.

From a distance, it looked very similar to a modern silk bathrobe.

Before even speaking, he smiled first. His fox-like eyes curved warmly as he looked at Hayoon and asked in a friendly tone, "You must be Hayoon, right? I am Chorong, chief of the Voz-Karr Tribe."

Hayoon had not expected him to greet her immediately and asked somewhat nervously, "You know me?"

At the same time, she was surprised by his identity as a chief.

He looked around the same age as Minho.

Chorong smiled cheerfully.

"I have heard of you before. I have already met Minho and the others, but I had never met you, so I guessed. I have wanted to get acquainted with you for a long time."

Hayoon responded awkwardly, "Hello, Chief Chorong. Welcome to the Ur-Shet Tribe."

Chorong stepped closer again. "There is no need to be so formal. Our two tribes are actually quite close..."

As he spoke, he even tried reaching out as if intending to grab Hayoon's hand while talking.

Minho stepped in front of her with a faintly cold expression and blocked him.

"Let's sit inside first and discuss the reason for your visit," Minho said calmly.

A trace of dissatisfaction flashed briefly through Chorong's narrow fox-like eyes, though the smile on his lips never disappeared.

"I was simply too happy to finally meet Hayoon." He then turned toward Chief Baek and asked, "Shall we go inside to talk?"

The grass shelter was not large enough, so Baek invited everyone into the cave.

Unlike Minho's cave, which had been dug downward, Baek's cave extended into the mountainside itself.

The entrance was wider, and since the morning sunlight shone directly inside, the interior was fairly bright.
