One night, as usual, Noel shared a bed with his son, Silas. After brushing their teeth, they climbed into bed to get some rest. Since Noel didn't have much work that day, he decided to go to sleep early with Silas.
The 5 year old boy crawled into bed and lay down on the spacious mattress. He turned toward his mother, who always lay beside him, and pulled him into his embrace.
"I'm so happy Mommy is sleeping with me tonight!" he said innocently.
"What do you mean? Don't I sleep with you every night?" Noel smiled as he stroked Silas's head.
"Mommy does sleep with me. But usually it's Uncle Dalton who puts me to sleep! Mommy probably just comes in the middle of the night, and before I wake up, you are already gone back to work!"
Hearing this, Noel felt a little guilty. He admitted his workload was indeed heavy, so he sometimes ended up falling asleep at the office instead of in his bedroom. He promised himself he would sleep with Silas.
