Leonard knelt down in front of Silas as the little boy walked into his mother's office. It was clear from his eyes that he was fascinated by Silas, who looked so sweet and adorable.
"It's no wonder he looks so cute, just like you, Mr. Donovan. Because I have to admit, he has eyes as beautiful as yours, even though his face seems to resemble someone else's," he said.
The person Leonard was referring to must have been Silas's father, the Alpha. Silas himself looked at him in confusion, tilting his head.
"Are you mommy's friend?" he asked innocently.
"Friend? Maybe. I am your mommy's friend. But… only for now," Leonard replied, ruffling the boy's hair.
"Don't say nonsense like that. He'll keep asking what you mean," Noel finally spoke up, protesting Leonard's careless remark.
Though his words weren't entirely clear, the Omega knew what Leonard meant. He was still talking about their "collaboration."
