Alice's POV
The flight to Paris felt like the longest seven hours of my life because Bryan barely spoke to me the entire time. He sat in his seat reading a book while I stared out the window wondering if this trip would save our marriage or end it.
When we landed and got to our hotel, I was blown away by how beautiful it was. Bryan had booked us a suite at a five star hotel near the Eiffel Tower with floor to ceiling windows and a balcony overlooking the city.
"This is incredible," I said setting down my suitcase. "Bryan how much did this cost?"
"Don't worry about it," he said and those were the first words he'd spoken to me since we left New York. "Alice I figured if we're going to fix this, we should do it somewhere beautiful."
"I want to fix this," I said walking toward him. "Bryan I know I messed up, but I love you and I want our marriage to work."
"I know you do," he said finally looking at me. "Alice, I'm just trying to figure out if I can get past what happened."
