Alice's POV
Bryan stood by the window where he was making the call with the phone pressed to his ear, his back stiff and his shoulders tense. I couldn't really hear what he was saying, but I could hear someone that sounded like Robert Chen's.
When Bryan finally pulled the phone away, he didn't turn around immediately and I knew it was probably because he didn't know what to tell me.
"Alice," he said, his voice steadier now, but there was something underneath it I couldn't ignore.
"Get dressed. We need to leave."
My chest tightened, and I stared at him for a while wondering what went wrong as everything had been fine just few minutes ago.
"What happened? What did Robert say?" I asked, really concerned seeing how the color had totally drained from his face.
He hesitated just for a second, then ran a hand through his hair, messing up the strands I had been playing with only minutes ago.
"It's Antonio. He's… he's not where he's supposed to be."
