Alice's POV
Bryan drove faster than he should have been driving through the city streets while I held onto the door handle because every sharp turn made my stomach flip. Antonio's phone sat between us on the console and I kept staring at it like it would suddenly ring with answers.
"We need to check the security footage from his building," Bryan said as he glanced at me quickly before looking back at the road. "Someone had to see him leave or see who took him."
"What if he left on his own?" I asked even though I didn't really believe it. "What if he's hiding somewhere because he's scared?"
Bryan shook his head hard like he was shaking off the idea. "Antonio doesn't run Alice. He faces things head on. If he left that phone and that note, it's because someone forced him to."
