"What are these?" Day asks, his eyes tearing up. He doesn't understand why, but he feels so … taken care of by rain right now, and he wants to bawl his eyes out. "They- they are so cute, and I want to snuggle in them-"
He chokes out, and Rain steps close to him, wrapping his arms around him. Day hugs his friend so close, burying his nose in his shoulder and breathing him in.
He smells like wildflowers, and it's so calming. He feels so loved and cherished by Rain that he sobs a little longer before they part.
"Oh gods," he wipes his face. "I don't know why I am crying. Why am I feeling everything so intensely?"
"It's okay, it's all normal. This is a very sensitive phase in your life, for any freshly mated omega," Rain runs his fingers through his hair, and he wants to lie down and be soothed just like this.
He wants to tell Rain that he isn't an omega, that he is just a human, but Rain must see it.
