Jay's Pov
I went towards my home only to notice, it was locked, I rang the bell,
My father came and opened the door, and I went inside,
D: "Is this the time you come? Disturbing us?"
Jay: "It was bus timing"
D: "Keep on giving excuses, I know your classes got over in the evening and there is bus immediately within 20 mins after your classes, you could have come in that if you didn't want to disturb us, but of course, you always behave like a selfish brat and come home during late night"
I flinched when he said that, I don't know what mistake I did, Tears glistening my eyes I stood there, How could my world change in minutes.
Jay: "Sorry, I will not repeat it"
D: "Keep your excuses with yourself and go and sleep without disturbing me"
I nodded and went to my room, I settled in my bed and wiped my tears, That's when I noticed a text from Keifer saying he has boarded the bus,
I texted him back saying, "Take care and text me when you get home"
K: "Are you going to sleep now?"
J: "Maybe after a little while, Why?"
K: " Can I call then?" And that put a smile on my face instantly
J: "Yes
he talked and made me laugh before I went to sleep,
The next morning I woke up and it was unusually different, So I freshened up and went downstairs to notice a new faces sitting around and my father putting up his fake personality, the one where they act as an perfect couple, I looked at the crowd and was about to turn to my room,
D:"There is my daughter, come here dear" well it was weird but this how he acts when people are around him, I gave a polite smile to everyone and came and settled on the couch, Then one uncle started talking,
U: "So are you going to tell her the good news?" he asked and I looked confused thinking what was happening, then my dad turned and smiled at me,
D: "Jay, this is Alex and we have formally planned an engagement for both of us" he said pointing at the guy across and my world stopped when he said that, I was frozen in my place while the guy across me was smiling at me, I turned to my father who was smiling,
U: "Looks like she is shocked"
D:"Yeah with happy news" he said huge grin
D: "If you don't mind excuse us a moment" he said while holding my hand, I went behind him to the room,
Jay: "What are doing dad? How can you do this" I shouted while wiping my tears
D:"Listen they are well reputated family and they are making us part of their family business "
Jay: "So you think I should marry him?"
D: "Yes ofcourse, shouldn't you be happy that you are finally repaying us?"
Jay: "Did you even think about to ask me once"
D: "Why should I rasied you and I paid everything for you and I get to decide who marry"
Jay: "It's totally unfair, I am not going to marry him" I shouted at him,
He quickly moved and held my jaw tightly and said
D: "You will do as I say, You not make me suffer"
Jay: "It's paining, Leave me" I tried to remove his hand but his hold was tight.
He finally left me and pushed,
D: "you will come our and behave as a perfect kid, remember if you try do anything, you will face the consequences"
He said and I was sobbing,
Dad: "Now clean yourself up and talk with them" he said and was about to move outside but the turned back again and snatched my phone from me,
Jay: "Why did you take that" I asked while sobbing
Dad: "So you wouldn't try to escape" he said and left outside and my panic attack started, I wasn't able to breathe and my chest was feeling heavy and I sat in my pace with the helplessness, All I wanted was Keifer.
Jay: "Ke..ifer … Kief… he..lp me" I said in between my crying, I was still wasn't able to breathe freely.
