Keifer's Pov
I boarded the bus and I was already missing Jay, so I started texting her, soon she responded so I called her and we were talking about random things and suddenly it went silent, she must have slept, I was also in my destination almost.
Keifer: "Good night Jay, I love you" I said and ended my call with a smile and soon reached my dorm, I quickly took my things and went to my car and started driving towards my house, I initially thought to stay at my dorm and leave tomorrow, but I have travel again, so it would a tiring, so I decided to finish all the travel at once.
I started driving towards my house and finally reached my house after 3 hours of driving in the morning, and of course I was welcomed by my parents, I hugged them both and said I am going to sleep and do not wake me up, I went to my room freshened up and changed my clothes and retired to sleep but after texting Jay saying,
"Good morning Love, just reached home, going to sleep, I'll call you after I wake up"
I had a good sleep and woke at 3 P.M,
There was a good morning message from Jay, I smiled and respond,
"Just woke up call when you are free"
After that I went down and parents were in living room, my mom gave me food, I started having it while Talking with them, it was really nice, because I did not come home for a long time, then we decided to do some board games, I decided to check my phone if there is any message from Jay but there wasn't, I was a little disappointed but thought she might busy.
So I left after playing games, we watched a movie and after that we decided to go out for dinner, I checked my phone, there still wasn't any message from her, Something in did not settle, I tried calling her but it was switched off, I don't know what happened but a strange feeling settled in me, I just hoped she was alright . We went to dinner, I kept checking my phone in the middle
Mom: "Why are looking so lost Keif?"
I looked up from my phone and answered,
Keifer: "It's just Jay hasn't responded to any of my texts and her phone is switched off"
Mom: "Maybe she is just busy"
Keifer: "I know she might busy, but she did not say anything that is going to keep her this busy and I am also a little worried since she is with her parents."
Dad: "maybe try asking your friends when did they talk to her last time"
Keifer: "That's right, I will just do that"
I texted my friends, but they said they only talked to her yesterday, Sara asked me If I am going to check on her, So that David and she could also join,
Honesty I was thinking the same thing, I wouldn't have been this restless if she was just at our dorm, but since she is with her parents, I did not feel well about her staying there.
Keifer: "Mom, maybe I should just go check on her"
Mom: "I know you are concerned but it's already, and you know her parents aren't the good type, and you are going to go to their house in the middle of the night"
Keifer: "I know that but what am I supposed to do"
Dad: "You can leave in the early morning"
Keifer: "But"
Mom: "I think your dad is right"
That's when I received a text from my friends saying, "that maybe we can tomorrow"
I replied okay to them, but deep down I was still restless thinking about her, hoping everything is fine with you Jay.
Jay's PoV
I think I passed out while having the panic attack, after sometime my mom came and poured water on me and I woke up shivering,
She gave a new set of dress and said
M: " Here have this, go change into and come talk to them nicely and don't ruin this for us like you always do" she said in a harsh tone,
I flinched and felt helpless, I changed into that dress and came out,
D: "Here she is, she just wanted to look good for you guys"
Alex: "She is already pretty, If you don't mind uncle, can we talk alone"
D: "Of course there is no problem, You can go to the terrace it is beautiful "
But I did not want to go, my mom came near me and whispered "DO NOT RUIN THIS"
We went to the terrace, he started talking,
A: "I know this engagement might come as surprise for you, but we can get married after you finish your studies" I flinched at the word marriage, I could not think about anyone else except for Keifer.
A: "By the way you look really pretty"
I did not reply I just stood there because my heart was breaking and all I needed was Keifer.
A: "Your parents said you are really shy and don't talk much, I can really see, maybe you can try talking"
I looked at him but I wasn't able to say anything, that's when we heard they are calling us downstairs.
Uncle: "Okay it is settled then, we will have the engagement this week" I was stunned when I heard those words, this cannot happen, Keifer please come and get me.
