Yagami's fingertip shone brighter.
Ōnoki's entire body tensed.
He had already raised his guard to the limit. His eyes were locked onto Yagami's hand, and every nerve in his body was prepared to dodge the instant that golden light fired.
Flash!
The laser shot forward.
Ōnoki moved at almost the same moment.
His small body twisted sharply in the air, narrowly avoiding a fatal strike to the chest.
Yet the beam still passed through his leg.
Blood scattered through the sky.
"Guh!"
Ōnoki's face twisted in pain as his left leg was severed below the knee.
His body swayed violently in midair.
Even after preparing himself, he had still failed to avoid it completely.
That light was simply too fast.
"Tsuchikage-sama!"
The Iwagakure shinobi below cried out in horror.
Ōnoki gritted his teeth, forcing himself to remain conscious as sweat rolled down his forehead.
"You really are stubborn, old man."
Yagami's voice suddenly sounded beside his ear.
Ōnoki's pupils shrank.
A chill ran down his spine.
When did he get behind me?!
Ōnoki turned his head with difficulty.
What entered his eyes was a blade of condensed golden light.
Yagami stood behind him calmly, holding a long sword formed entirely from radiance.
"Ama no Murakumo."
The sword of light gleamed in Yagami's hand.
Ōnoki wanted to react but against that speed, his thoughts could not keep up.
A golden arc flashed through the air.
Slash!
Ōnoki's remaining leg was severed as well.
"Gyaaah!"
The Third Tsuchikage's scream echoed across the rocky plain.
His small body dropped from the sky, crashing heavily into the ground below.
Dust burst outward.
For a moment, the entire Iwagakure army froze.
Their Tsuchikage.
The strongest shinobi of Iwagakure.
The man who had made countless nations fear the name Ōnoki of Both Scales.
Had been cut down in front of them like this.
"Protect Tsuchikage-sama!"
"Kill him!"
"Don't let him get close to Lord Ōnoki!"
The Iwagakure shinobi finally snapped out of their daze and rushed forward in fury.
Dozens of them surrounded Yagami at once.
Earth Release users raised stone pillars and launched them toward his body but every attack passed through him.
Blades cut through golden light.
Kunai vanished through his chest and shot out the other side.
Fists sank into his body as though striking empty air.
Yagami stood there without moving and let their attacks hit him.
His body flickered like sunlight passing through mist.
The Iwagakure shinobi's expressions changed from anger to disbelief.
"What?"
"My blade went through him!"
"Damn it, why isn't anything hitting him?!"
One shinobi punched Yagami directly in the face.
His fist passed through Yagami's head without resistance.
The man stumbled forward, eyes wide with terror.
Yagami glanced at him calmly.
"Are you finished?"
The Iwagakure shinobi instinctively stepped back.
Beneath Yagami's foot, Ōnoki lay pinned against the cracked earth, blood spreading beneath him as he struggled to raise his head.
Yagami slowly lifted his leg above the old Tsuchikage.
The golden light gathered around his foot.
The surrounding Iwagakure shinobi turned pale.
"Stop!"
"Get away from Tsuchikage-sama!"
"Damn it! Move! Why won't he move?!"
They attacked again in desperation but the same thing happened once again. No matter what they did... it couldn't cause any harm to Yagami.
A cold despair began spreading through the Iwagakure ranks.
"Nothing is working…"
"What the hell is this guy?"
"Is he even human?"
At that moment, a violent roar erupted from the distance.
Steam exploded through the battlefield.
Han, who had been buried beneath the shattered rocky hill, forced himself to stand.
He could feel several bones in his body had already broken, and blood kept leaking from beneath his mask, but Han had no choice except to stand up again. So, even as pain tore through his body, his chakra continued to rise.
A thick, violent red aura surged around him.
The Five-Tails' chakra cloak wrapped around his body, and behind him, tails of chakra began lashing wildly.
Han lowered his body, then he charged.
Boom!
The ground beneath his feet shattered as he rushed toward Yagami from behind like a raging beast.
"Don't touch him!"
His voice was distorted by the Five-Tails' chakra.
Yagami did not even turn around.
His raised leg simply swept sideways.
A massive beam of golden light erupted from his foot and tore across the battlefield.
The light struck Han directly in the chest.
Boom!
Han's charge was crushed instantly.
The beam blasted him backward, carving a long trench across the rocky plain as his body was sent flying again.
This time, he crashed into the ground and bounced several times before finally collapsing in the distance.
The Five-Tails' chakra cloak flickered violently before fading away.
Han's eyes rolled back white.
He lay motionless, completely unconscious.
Yagami glanced toward him at last.
"You should have stayed down."
The Iwagakure shinobi felt their hearts sink.
Han had fallen.
Ōnoki had fallen.
Their two greatest forces on this battlefield had been crushed one after another.
Ōnoki coughed weakly beneath Yagami's foot.
Even with both legs gone, his eyes still burned with hatred.
"You…"
His voice was hoarse.
"You think killing me will end this?"
Yagami lowered his gaze and looked at him with narrowed eyes.
Ōnoki gritted his teeth.
"Iwagakure will never bow to Konoha. As long as even one stone remains standing, we will fight. That is the will of stone."
The silent Yagami finally spoke, his voice filled with nothing but amusement.
"The will of stone, huh?"
The golden light around his foot grew brighter.
"Then I'll crush it here."
Ōnoki's eyes widened.
"Wait, you brat!"
Yagami's expression did not change.
His foot descended.
Boom!
The earth beneath Ōnoki cracked apart.
The Third Tsuchikage's voice was cut off instantly.
A shockwave spread across the ground, blowing dust and shattered stone in every direction.
When the dust cleared, Ōnoki, the old monster who had carried Iwagakure through countless wars... no longer moved.
Silence fell over the battlefield.
The Iwagakure army stared in frozen horror.
Behind him, the Konoha shinobi were equally silent for a breath.
Then Kushina clenched her fist.
"Advance!"
Her voice snapped the Konoha forces out of their shock.
Nara Shikaku's eyes sharpened.
"Do not break formation! Press forward and cut off their retreat!"
The jōnin commanders immediately relayed the orders.
"Forward!"
"Surround them!"
"Don't let Iwagakure regroup!"
The Konoha army erupted into motion.
Thousands of shinobi charged across the shattered plain.
Only then did panic fully consume Iwagakure.
"Tsuchikage-sama is dead!"
"Han-sama has fallen!"
"Impossible…"
For a moment, the Iwagakure shinobi could not move. The old man who had stood at the top of their village for so many years had been killed before their eyes, and the Five-Tails' jinchūriki lay unconscious in the distance.
Then rage swallowed their fear.
"Kill him!"
"Avenge Tsuchikage-sama!"
"For the Will of Stone!"
Several Iwagakure shinobi rushed forward with bloodshot eyes, their hands forming seals as they charged toward Yagami.
Yagami, of course, had no intention of indulging them any longer.
Since Iwagakure had chosen war for the sake of profit, they should have been prepared for the possibility of being carried back as corpses.
Golden light flashed across the battlefield.
With Yagami at the front and the Konoha army surging behind him, the broken Iwagakure formation was swallowed almost instantly.
The battle did not last much longer.
Yagami's speed was simply beyond anything ordinary shinobi could follow. Wherever golden light passed, Iwagakure shinobi fell one after another.
The Konoha forces, already burning with adrenaline after witnessing Yagami's overwhelming victories again and again, pushed forward with terrifying momentum.
Their morale had reached its peak.
On the other hand, Iwagakure had lost Ōnoki, lost Han, and lost the will to keep fighting.
The result was obvious.
This was no longer a battle between two armies.
It was a rout.
Of course, although points were important, Yagami did not continue blindly once some of the Iwagakure shinobi began throwing down their weapons.
When the first group surrendered, Shikaku quickly stepped forward and advised him to stop.
"Yagami-dono, I think we should stop it here."
Yagami glanced at him.
Shikaku's expression remained calm, but his tone was serious.
"If we keep killing after they surrender, it will only create more trouble later. Leave the rest to me."
Yagami looked across the battlefield.
Some Iwagakure shinobi were still fleeing.
Some were kneeling on the ground with their hands raised.
Others had already lost the strength to resist.
After a moment, the golden light around Yagami slowly faded.
"Fine."
Shikaku let out a quiet breath of relief.
Then his eyes sharpened as he turned toward the Konoha commanders.
"Disarm the prisoners. Treat the wounded after confirming they can no longer fight. Anyone who resists, suppress them immediately."
"Yes!"
The Konoha shinobi moved at once.
And with that, the war against Iwagakure also came to an end.
Konoha had won.
However, this time, Iwagakure had paid a price far heavier than even Sunagakure.
The Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki, was dead.
The Five-Tails' jinchūriki, Han, had been captured while unconscious.
Most of Iwagakure's main force had either been killed, wounded, or taken prisoner.
Their proud army had been crushed on the rocky plain.
Soon, reports of the battlefield began spreading throughout the ninja world.
