Soon after the news spread from the battlefield, the Konoha camp entered a state of celebration.
Of course, the celebration outside had nothing to do with Yagami for the moment.
Inside his private tent, the noise of victory had been blocked away by a barrier.
The lamp swayed gently.
Kushina lay beneath the blanket, her long red hair scattered messily across the pillow like a spill of crimson silk. Her breathing had finally evened out, and the flush on her face had not yet faded.
After the intense fucking she had just experienced, even someone as energetic as Kushina could no longer keep her eyes open.
Yagami sat beside her, one hand still lazily resting on her soft body as he glanced down at her sleeping face.
"Still pretending to be fierce even when you're asleep."
The corners of his mouth lifted slightly.
Kushina seemed to hear him in her sleep. Her brows twitched, and she muttered something unclear before turning over and sinking deeper into the blanket.
Yagami chuckled.
Only after confirming that she had truly fallen asleep did he finally shift his attention away from her.
Now that the war against Iwagakure had ended, there was something far more important waiting for him.
His prestige system.
Yagami narrowed his eyes in anticipation.
"System."
The next instant, a translucent screen appeared before him.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations, Host!]
[You have killed the Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki of Both Scales.]
[You have defeated and captured the Five-Tails' jinchūriki, Han.]
[You have previously defeated and captured the Four-Tails' jinchūriki, Rōshi.]
[Your prestige throughout the ninja world has increased explosively!]
[Current Prestige Points: 1,388,000]
[Lottery requirement reached.]
[Host may perform a high-level prestige lottery.]
Yagami's eyes lit up slightly.
Over one million prestige points.
Even for him, this number was not bad.
After all, killing a Kage in front of an entire army, crushing a jinchūriki, and ending a major battlefield by himself were enough to shake the entire ninja world.
Once the news reached the other villages, his name would probably become a nightmare.
Yagami leaned back comfortably.
His fingers lightly squeezed the softness beneath his hand, causing Kushina to frown in her sleep and kick him lightly under the blanket.
"Don't move…"
Her sleepy voice carried a trace of irritation.
Yagami paused, then laughed under his breath.
"Fine, fine."
He withdrew his hand and raised it toward the system screen instead.
"Begin the lottery."
[Ding!]
[High-level prestige lottery beginning.]
[Drawing reward…]
The system screen flickered rapidly.
One strange item after another flashed across the interface.
[Makima's Black Lace Panties]
[Description: A mysterious item from another world. When held, it may cause weak-willed subordinates to feel inexplicable pressure.]
[Special Effect: None.]
[System Evaluation: Epic.]
Yagami's expression froze.
"What the hell is this?"
The system ignored him and continued spinning.
[Piccolo's Training Outfit]
[Description: A weighted outfit worn by a certain green martial arts master.]
[Special Effect: Increases the wearer's sense of Aura by 300%.]
[Hidden Effect: Children may instinctively feel that you are about to start harsh training.]
[System Evaluation: Barely useful.]
Yagami's mouth twitched.
"Do I look like I need to dress like a green alien to train people?"
The wheel continued.
[Saitama's Supermarket Coupon]
[Description: A discount coupon from another world.]
[Special Effect: Grants 50% off selected vegetables.]
[Warning: Expired yesterday.]
[System Evaluation: Worthless.]
Yagami stared at it in silence for a moment.
"..."
"Are you mocking me?"
[Ding!]
[Please do not threaten the system during the lottery.]
The rewards kept flashing.
[Madara Uchiha's Hair-Care Secret]
[Description: Gives the user absurdly thick hair and an overwhelming presence when standing on high ground.]
[Special Effect: When speaking dramatically, cloak movement becomes 40% more intimidating.]
[System Evaluation: Flashy but useless.]
Yagami's face darkened further and further.
Each reward looked stranger than the last.
If this lottery really ended with something useless, he would seriously consider whether the system could be beaten into submission.
At that moment, the spinning screen suddenly stopped.
The golden light on the interface changed.
A strange shadow appeared in the center of the system screen.
It looked like a wheel.
A sacred wheel with eight handles.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations, Host!]
[You have obtained: Mahoraga Card.]
Yagami's lazy expression instantly disappeared.
"Mahoraga?"
The reward card slowly floated out of the system screen and hovered in front of him.
On the surface of the card stood a massive, monstrous shikigami.
Its body was huge and terrifying, its face strange and inhuman. Above its head floated the Eight-Handled Wheel, exuding ominous pressure.
Yagami reached out and caught the card between two fingers.
The moment he touched it, the system description unfolded.
[Mahoraga Card]
[Rank: Special]
[Type: Ability Integration Card]
[Effect: Upon use, Host will obtain the complete abilities of Mahoraga.]
[Core Ability: Adaptation.]
[Description: After experiencing an attack, phenomenon, technique, energy, law, or concept, the Eight-Handled Wheel will begin adapting. Once adaptation is complete, the Host will gain resistance, countermeasures, and eventually complete adaptation toward the target phenomenon.]
[Additional Ability: Supreme Physical Body.]
[Description: Mahoraga possesses extraordinary physical strength, durability, and endurance. Even when heavily damaged, it can continue fighting.]
[Additional Ability: High-Speed Regeneration.]
[Description: As long as the body is not completely destroyed beyond recovery, severe injuries may regenerate at terrifying speed.]
[Warning: If the Host is completely erased or destroyed to the point where no recoverable foundation remains, regeneration will fail.]
[System Evaluation: One of the highest-grade survivability and growth abilities.]
After reading the description, Yagami's lips slowly curled into a grin, and a low laugh of excitement escaped him before he could stop it.
Kushina, who had just fallen asleep, frowned again and grabbed a pillow, throwing it at him without opening her eyes.
"Shut up…"
The pillow hit Yagami's shoulder and fell weakly to the ground.
Yagami did not care.
His eyes remained fixed on the card in his hand.
Mahoraga.
Many people only remembered its adaptation.
But Yagami knew very well that adaptation was not the only terrifying thing about that monster.
Its true value was not simply that it could adjust to attacks.
It was that it could survive long enough to adapt.
Durability.
Regeneration.
Endurance.
A body that could be smashed, torn apart, and reduced to a bloody mess, yet still rise again as long as it was not completely erased.
Against ordinary enemies, this ability was already monstrous.
Against top-tier enemies, it was even more terrifying.
Because the longer the battle continued, the more disadvantageous it became for the opponent.
One attack might work once.
The second time, it would weaken.
The third time, it might become useless.
And once adaptation completed, the enemy's proudest technique could become nothing more than a joke.
Yagami looked at the card in his hand, his eyes shining with golden light.
With his current speed, destructive power, and intangibility, most shinobi in the ninja world already had no way to deal with him.
But this ability was different.
This was insurance against the truly unreasonable things.
Sealing techniques. Space-time ninjutsu.
Soul attacks. Conceptual abilities.
"As expected…"
Yagami's smile became brighter.
"The high-level lottery is still worth something."
He crushed the card in his hand.
Crack.
The Mahoraga Card shattered into countless fragments of white light.
The light surged into his body.
For a moment, Yagami felt something powerful awaken within him.
It was more like an instinct engraved into his existence.
A wheel seemed to turn silently inside his soul.
Click.
Yagami closed his eyes.
In that instant, he felt his body change.
His muscles, bones, blood, nerves, and even the deeper structure of his existence seemed to become more tenacious. It was not a crude increase in strength, but a transformation of survivability itself.
His body had gained a terrifying new foundation.
Yagami slowly opened his eyes.
Golden light flashed in his pupils.
"This is good."
So good that even the earlier ridiculous lottery items no longer seemed worth getting angry over.
Outside the tent, footsteps approached.
A Konoha shinobi stopped respectfully beyond the curtain.
"Yagami-sama."
Yagami's expression returned to calm.
"What is it?"
"The prisoner count has been completed. Han has been sealed and placed under heavy guard. The surviving Iwagakure commanders have also been restrained. Nara Shikaku-sama asks whether you wish to personally handle the report sent back to Konoha."
Yagami glanced at Kushina, who was still asleep.
Then he looked toward the system screen, where his prestige points had dropped after the lottery but still remained at a considerable amount.
"No need."
His voice was casual.
"Let Shikaku handle the report. Tell him to write it however he likes, as long as he doesn't make me sound weak."
The shinobi outside immediately lowered his head.
"Yes!"
The footsteps quickly faded.
Yagami leaned back again and looked at the dim light inside the tent.
The Third Shinobi World War was reaching its end faster than anyone should've expected.
Early the next morning, before the celebration in the Konoha camp had fully settled, Yagami took Kushina away.
He did not wake the others, nor did he give any explanation. After leaving a simple instruction for the guards not to disturb them, he wrapped an arm around Kushina's waist and vanished from the camp in a flash of golden light.
By the time Kushina realized what had happened, the noisy camp had already disappeared behind them.
Yagami had found the place during his flight over the battlefield the previous day.
It was a quiet valley hidden between two mountains, far from the smoke, blood, and ruined earth of war. A clear lake rested in the center of the valley, covered by thin morning mist. A small waterfall fell from the cliffside, and the first light of dawn scattered across the surface of the water like broken gold.
Kushina stood there for a long moment without speaking.
The wind lifted her long red hair, and the sunlight gradually softened the sleepy irritation on her face. She had clearly been dragged out of bed before she was ready, but after seeing the scenery before her, even she could not bring herself to complain.
Yagami watched her reaction from the side.
That alone was enough to make the trip worth it.
The two walked along the edge of the lake for a while. Kushina's steps were slow at first, still carrying the laziness of someone who had just woken up, but before long she began looking around with bright eyes.
The valley was small, but it felt as if it had been separated from the rest of the world.
Yagami had brought a simple breakfast with him. It was nothing extravagant, only rice balls, grilled fish, and warm tea taken from the camp's supplies, but eating it beside the lake made it feel better than any banquet.
Kushina complained that he hadn't cooked it himself as she really wanted to eat what he made.
After breakfast, they sat beneath a tree near the water. Kushina leaned against him, her red hair spreading across his shoulder and chest. She looked quieter than usual, as if the exhaustion of the past few days had finally found a place to settle.
Yagami did not ruin the mood with unnecessary words.
He simply lowered his head and kissed her.
At first, it was only a light touch.
But Kushina had never been the type to accept being led so easily. Her hand reached up, grabbed the front of his clothes, and pulled him closer.
The kiss deepened.
The morning mist drifted over the lake while the two remained beneath the tree, their figures half-hidden by the shadow of the leaves.
Kushina's fingers slid into Yagami's hair, and when he teased her too much, she bit his lip in warning.
Yagami laughed softly against her mouth.
That only made her bite a little harder.
Their breaths slowly grew uneven. Kushina's back pressed against the tree trunk, and Yagami's hand rested at her waist, drawing her closer until there was almost no space left between them.
The two stayed in the valley for a little longer before finally reluctantly ending their date.
Yagami along with Kushina walked back into the camp with the same lazy calm as always.
Only the faint bite mark on his lower lip remained as proof that the morning had not been quite as peaceful as it looked but anyone seeing it was smart enough not to point it out.
But of course, such peaceful times could not last forever. One night, while they were cooking late beside the campfire, a report was suddenly sent to the camp...
