Walking casually with fingers tightly intertwined, the young married couple stepped slowly leaving the shadows of the leafy trees of the east forest. The golden afternoon sunlight swept across their faces, providing a warmth that contrasted with the cool forest air behind them.
Even though he had held hands with his husband very often, both when walking together and when inside the room, Wolvin still always felt happy every time he felt the warm and firm touch of the hand he was currently holding. Calian's hand grip always gave him a priceless sense of safety and comfort.
A smile full of happiness radiated clearly on his cute face. Both of his pointy wolf ears stood erect, while his thick black tail kept wagging slowly left and right, radiating a sincere expression of his feelings that did not lie at all.
"Darling?" called Wolvin suddenly in the middle of their journey crossing the meadow not far from the city gate.
Calian turned his head, breaking his gaze from the road in front of them, then looked at the cute face of his spouse who was smiling brightly.
"Yes, Wolvin?" answered Calian with his signature calm tone, while continuing to step his feet balancing the rhythm of his spouse's steps.
Wolvin looked up slightly, staring into his husband's purple eyes. "Will you one day become an emperor and I will accompany you as your empress?"
That question was thrown by Wolvin with eyes sparkling full of enthusiasm.
Unlike the Night Wolf youth who was very much looking forward to and fully supporting the day when his great husband would truly sit on the highest throne of the Erthland Empire, Calian was still reluctant about the emperor's throne.
The purple-haired youth did not answer immediately. He kept walking while staring straight toward the cold gates of the capital that began to be seen from a distance for a few moments.
"I also do not know, Wolvin." answered Calian finally, his voice flowing honestly. He indeed still felt unsure about that future. "For now, I only want to think about the present time without needing to bother thinking about the future that is still long. Besides, whatever happens in the future later, I just need to face it with you, right?"
Hearing the very realistic yet comforting answer from his husband, Wolvin only nodded in agreement with an ever-widening smile.
"And it seems... I quite enjoy this job as an adventurer." continued Calian, turning to look at Wolvin again. The corners of his lips pulled slightly to form a very faint smile. "Going on an adventure, seeing the outside world, and moving freely with my spouse turns out to be much more fun than just staying still without doing anything."
Wolvin smiled even wider hearing that confession. However, the Night Wolf youth completely did not realize what the real reason was behind his husband's words just now.
Behind his calm face, Calian actually had a very strong hidden reason why he liked the job that drained their time and stamina.
He truly did not want it if every day he had to serve Wolvin's sexual passion that was so hyper if they just stayed still at home without activities.
The purple-haired youth assumed very logically that the more physical activities they did outside the house, such as walking far or hunting, then the sexual passion that was so hyper from his cute spouse could certainly be suppressed.

"Really?!" exclaimed Wolvin, shattering his husband's internal analysis. His eyes radiated an overflowing feeling of happiness. "Are we just going to be an adventurer, Darling?"
"Yes, Wolvin!"
The answer that was short, concise, yet without the slightest tone of doubt that he had heard, had successfully made Wolvin feel very happy until he hopped slightly while walking.
The two of them continued stepping with a light feeling entering the capital gates. They traced back the city streets which were now enveloped in afternoon light, until a few moments later, they had arrived at the Central Adventurer Guild building.
As soon as they entered the lobby, the two of them immediately walked approaching the reception desk. Calian handed over the cloth pouch fully filled with Silver Dew Leaf herbal plants they had collected to the female receptionist who served them previously.
The receptionist received the cloth pouch that was on the desk and deftly immediately counted the number of herbal leaves inside it.
"There is a total of 25 Silver Dew Leaf herbal plants in perfect condition that the two of you have successfully picked." said the receptionist with a satisfied tone after finishing counting and recording it. "Your first mission is successfully completed. Please hand your adventurer license cards to me."
Calian and Wolvin directly handed their respective adventurer license cards without asking much.
As soon as she received the two license cards, the beautiful woman went to the recording room behind her to process their mission reward.
While waiting for the receptionist to return, Calian and Wolvin decided to walk towards the large information board displaying various kinds of missions.
Wolvin's eyes scanned the row of mission parchments quickly. And unintentionally, his gaze stopped at a parchment containing a mission about: "Hunting the Yellow Bee monster that according to reports is rampaging inside the east forest".
Reading the details of the target and its location, instantly Wolvin's face changed. A smirk full of mystery and satisfaction was slowly painted on his lips.
Seeing that very sudden change of expression, Calian turned his head then stared strangely at his spouse.
"What is wrong with you, Wolvin?" asked Calian with a wondering as well as probing gaze, feeling something was not right. "This is the first time I have seen such a strange smile from your face."
Instead of answering his husband's question, Wolvin instead raised his hand and pointed toward the mission parchment pasted upright on the wooden board.
"That!"
Only the single word 'that' came out of his spouse's mouth, but his tone sounded very enthusiastic.
Calian who felt curious spontaneously turned his head towards the direction pointed by his spouse's index finger. He read quickly the string of sentences written on the parchment paper displayed there.
As soon as he finished reading and seeing what his spouse had just pointed at, the purple-haired youth finally understood. He immediately grasped what the meaning and purpose of the strange smirk that had been decorating Wolvin's face was.
He will definitely take that mission and immediately complete it right now just to get the reward. guessed Calian in his heart, very familiar with his spouse's train of thought if he was already excited about something.
And sure enough. Just as Calian talked about Wolvin who would take that mission inside his head, the Night Wolf youth indeed truly directly tore that mission parchment from the board without the slightest hesitation.
Seeing the speed of his spouse's action, Calian could only sigh deeply and tap his forehead slowly using one hand. What he had expected inside his head just now instead truly happened without warning.
"Come on, let's return to that reception desk again right now!" invited Wolvin with eyes sparkling with joy. His left hand held tightly to that mission parchment, while his right hand immediately pulled his husband's hand strongly.
Without intending to resist even a little bit, Calian let his body be pulled. He just followed the footsteps of his enthusiastic spouse cutting through the guild lobby in resignation.
If he is already excited like this, there is no longer anything that can stop him.
