Chapter 479 - Dört Yüz Yetmiş Dokuz

With the passing of every grain of sand, a hole opened up; the Blood Dome looked like it had turned into a sieve, but those looking closely could see what was actually going on. The tiny hole that opened for the grain of sand to pass through closed immediately, only to open again when another came.

When a duration of ten breaths passed, the ten people inside the trap were buried up to their knees in the golden-yellow sand. The moment the traps of the guy named Cowardly Molan were neutralized along with them, Bookworm gave the first attack order.

"Sis, kill Cowardly Molan!"

In the blink of an eye, Wind of Death was in front of the gender-ambiguous dwarf, and the axe gifted by Nafız sank into the enemy's head. In the first years after she received the name Commander-in-Chief of the Orc Empire Armies, she possessed skills that put more emphasis on the word "Death," but it seemed that with the time she spent alongside the Third Sheikh of the Holy Blood Sect, the word "Wind" would now represent her as well.

"I'm gonna kill you, you bitch!"

"Master, pull my sister in!"

The first enemy had been killed flawlessly, but as of right now, there was another problem; Wind of Death was charging towards the woman who slept with her husband. Bookworm had given the necessary order and asked Nafız to pull her back, but the nine people inside the trap had also seen their greatest enemy in his sister's face.

An arrow spewing flames and a spear made of bright light were meeting at the same point at the same time, and their target was the female orc attacking Yellow Passion, having lost her mind.

"Come here, Yarmagül!"

After a claw detaching from the surface of the Blood Dome grabbed her and pulled her in, six more attacks appeared, crashing against the blood-red curtain and dissipating.

"Where am I? What happened?"

Dropping her axe, Wind of Death was as bewildered as if she had woken up from an endless dream, a world of illusions. Looking into the eyes of the others, she asked weird questions, as if she wasn't the one who had charged from here and killed the enemy just ten seconds ago.

"Wow, what a trap! You're quite something too, Hueso; if it messed up even our girl like this, I'm dying to know what the mercenaries would have done!"

Receiving the compliments with a slight bow, the porcelain-skinned man was glad it was understood he wasn't exaggerating when he called it his favorite spiritual trap. Even though it was his friends struggling inside it right now, he was pleased that the tunnel and traps he had spent years, even centuries building were putting them in a tight spot.

"Calm down, sis, you just got caught in the spiritual attack of the trap, but it's over now. Catch your breath and pull yourself together, you're not done yet!"

Bookworm kept his cool. While making the attack plan, he knew his sister would fall into this state, just like he knew his brother-in-law would fall into it in a bit.

"Hammerstriker, activate your lineage power and go outside!"

The purple-robed orc didn't specify a target, but this wasn't a priority for the orc who was his brother-in-law. Having grown up within the strict hierarchy of his father, Hammerstriker would do whatever the person currently holding the reins said without questioning it.

"Warrior's Wrath!"

Drawing his abnormally sized sword, which he received as a wedding gift, the son-in-law threw himself outside the Blood Dome, and at that moment, he unleashed a roar that shook heaven and earth.

"Black Bear, I'm gonna skin you alive and eat your flesh raw!"

Out of all the people he had encountered throughout his long years of life, Hammerstriker had chosen him, the last person to use the title Lord of the Orc Steppes. He saw the face of the man who had put his wife in a tough spot and acted immorally in the war years ago in one of the nine people around him.

"Bookworm, is your brother-in-law going to be alright?"

No matter how much attitude Wind of Death threw, she loved the man who was seeing red and worried for his safety, but she was also aware that her brother wasn't one to make a move in vain.

"He'll be fine, he'll be more than fine!"

Speaking with a smile now very rarely seen on his face after his two-year seclusion in a tent within the Glacier Region Tribe, Bookworm raised his hand, and along with it, the golden sands outside the shield also sprang into action.

"There's no need to stop the enemy anymore, it's time to protect my brother-in-law. While I do this job with my golden sands, he'll swing his sword non-stop, doing what he does best!"

What he said wasn't a guess or a prophecy; Bookworm had reached this conclusion by calculating tens, even hundreds of variables in his mind. Hammerstriker was dying to prove him right too, and his first target was exactly five paces in front of him.

As he sped up, stepping on the golden sands, an arrow came from his right side; the fire arrow, looking bright, hot, and equally piercing, was a step away, but it wouldn't reach him. The golden-colored sands rising from around his feet got in front of the arrow, preventing Hammerstriker from taking the hit.

"Die, you bastard!"

The son-in-law, locking his eyes on the mercenary who was a head shorter than him, jumped into the air and immediately brought the sword above his head down with all his might. The sorrowful melody produced when metal clashed with metal and the sparks that managed to shine even within the yellow light scattered around, followed a breath later by fresh blood.

Four-Winged Angel wasn't sitting idle; simultaneously with Hammerstriker's attack, she had sent her spear of light, but Bookworm's golden sands were on the job. Leaving only the area where the giant sword landed exposed, they surrounded his brother-in-law on all four sides, giving no quarter to those trying to stop him from doing his job.

Under normal circumstances, Indestructible Wall's defense wasn't weak enough for Hammerstriker to break through, but Warrior's Wrath, a Lineage Power, was rewriting the rules of the game. For the man who hadn't experienced his Lineage Power before he died, the end was being sliced down to the waist, and his body, making its last twitches, was trembling within the golden sands.

"Black Bear, I'm gonna kill you with my bare hands!"

Having killed his archenemy, Hammerstriker didn't stop, he couldn't stop. This time, he saw the face of the scum calling himself the Great Orc Lord on the person carrying a weird weapon on his back. Acid King was locked onto him too; judging by his non-participation in the earlier attacks, his attack style was more suited to close range than long range.

The accuracy of this deduction was fully proven when five paces remained between them. Emerging from under the weird weapon on his back, the green liquid squirting from the end of the pipe, which extended long enough for him to hold with both hands, completely blocked Hammerstriker's vision.

Even though the golden sand surrounded him on all four sides to protect him, he had no chance of attacking. The shell Bookworm created was eroding every second, and the golden sands on the ground could only sustain the shell for ten seconds at most.

"Dad, get ready! The others will charge towards my brother-in-law in a bit, use this when the time comes!"

As Alyon watched the shiny object appear in front of him, it turned out his son wasn't wrong again. Before five seconds passed, Monster Sasho, who had transformed into an armored rhino, Rabid Dog, who sped up by bouncing off the ceiling, and Crazy Ivan, who slithered through the golden sands like a snake, popped up right behind Hammerstriker.

"Now, dad!"

Hearing the command, Alyon picked up the weapon his son took out of his spatial ring from the ground and raised it in the air; after taking two steps, he hurled the mercury-colored javelin towards the enemies. Even though the weapon, slightly longer than three paces, resembled a spear, there were vital differences between them, and anyone watching could easily see this.

The mercury-colored javelin first pierced Crazy Ivan shooting out from among the sands and continued on its path without losing its speed. Rabid Dog was its target, but the weird man suddenly turned right; the javelin's attack was about to miss.

Then something completely unexpected happened; as if it knew this beforehand, the mercury-colored weapon changed its direction and caught Rabid Dog in mid-air. Though the weapon carrying the two bodies slowed down, it didn't stop; it ended its journey by entering through the tailbone of Monster Sasho, who had transformed into an armored rhino.

"Wow, three birds with one stone! Look at Chief Alyon, if we were at a carnival, you'd have won a giant teddy bear right now!"
