"Master, doesn't this look like the shish kebabs you always talk about and have made a few times?"
Bookworm saw the javelin as a skewer and the three people it pierced in a row as chunks of meat, and anyone who had eaten shish kebab before would definitely agree with him. Everything happened in seconds; Hammerstriker grabbed the body of the man who had undergone an armored rhino transformation and hurled him at the acid-spewing enemy.
The trio, split completely through by the javelin, weren't dead yet, but the moment they were covered in the green liquid, they stood no chance. Their skin and flesh sloughed off, and the acid corroding their bones erased their existence as if they had never been.
"Die!"
Of course, Hammerstriker wouldn't miss this opportunity; he made his move to bring his massive sword down on Acid King's left shoulder, but an ice-colored energy wrapped around his body at that moment, ensuring he couldn't move even a millimeter.
"Sapphire Fang!"
Wind of Death immediately recognized the person getting in her husband's way; the woman who had come to the Orc Steppes on behalf of the Lands of Light was causing trouble for her family once again.
"Bookworm, what are we going to do!"
The bodies of the three men could keep the acid away for three seconds at most, and Hammerstriker was in a state where he couldn't move. Worried, the Commander-in-Chief of the Orc Steppes turned to her brother.
"We aren't going to do anything; my brother-in-law can handle it himself!"
As the conversation continued, the orc warrior, losing another second of time, was a prisoner under the thin layer of ice covering his body; if it went on like this, death was coming for him, but Hammerstriker had no intention of losing his life here.
"Lineage Power Second Level – Chief's Wrath!"
Crimson flames containing black patterns pierced through the ice from all sides. His green skin covered in red tribal tattoos, Hammerstriker raised his sword once more and this time, he managed to bring it down. The last remains of the three men's bodies, Acid King, and the strange weapon on his back were split in two like a rift forming in the ground.
This was the technique his father, Ironforger, had used while fighting alone to stop the army chasing them. While it possessed the potential to tear thousands of enemies apart, it was impossible to stop at this range.
His movement and attack speed increasing beyond comparison, Hammerstriker was in front of the new enemy before a second had even passed. Sapphire Fang, who had hidden herself inside a block of ice, knew he was coming for her.
Black-crimson energy surrounded the sword; with every strike, it tore a large piece from the surface of the ice mold, and what was interesting was that the black-crimson energy penetrating inside prevented Sapphire Fang from reforming those parts.
"It's my first time seeing Chief's Wrath. It has interesting effects, but I wish it didn't wear out its user this much!"
Breaking his silence, Alyon spoke, moved by seeing the second stage of one of the last two original lineage powers in the world.
"And what about this idiot? Every time he uses the Orc Blood Techniques, he burns away a few years of his life!"
Nafız tore her gaze from Hammerstriker, who was about to break the ice cube, and turned it to the leader of the ten orcs watching him to take notes. He had used his life energy to perform the attack to break out of the bone pillars, but he hadn't expected anyone else to notice it.
"Don't look at me like a deer in the headlights, I'm the one who created those techniques. Who are you trying to hide what from?"
While Nafız, who had taken the power of God Berkut as her Lineage Power, chewed out her successor who was trying to use her techniques, a pained scream made them turn back to Hammerstriker. Sapphire Fang, finally losing the protection of the ice cube surrounding her on all four sides, was dying under the sword glowing with a black-crimson color.
"Master, Hammerstriker has reached his limits! You need to pull him in!"
"He was slicing so beautifully, let him continue."
The answer she gave in response to her student's instruction had barely reached their ears when the largest orc in the area chimed in.
"Nafız!"
"I'd say I hope a stone the size of Nafız falls on your head, but what would a stone my size even do to that thick skull of yours!"
A giant claw detaching from the Blood Dome grabbed Hammerstriker and pulled him in as she spoke, but there was a problem; Chief's Wrath was still active.
"Hammerstriker, snap out of it. You're upsetting me!"
Despite being wrapped in Nafız's blood-red energy, the man who was trying to attack his surroundings and didn't hesitate to swing his abnormally sized sword practically froze when he heard his wife's words. The black-crimson energy crumbled to pieces and mixed with the soil, and ten seconds later, Hammerstriker started talking as if nothing had happened.
"I'm sorry wifey, I promise it won't happen again!"
The orc warrior, brought back from the brink of madness by the words of the woman he loved, was completely unaware of what the trap dominating the area outside the shield had made him do, and was carefully inspecting the giant sword in his hand.
"No matter which world you're in, the wife always wins in the end. Bookworm, three people left, how do you plan to handle this?"
Wind of Death, Hammerstriker, and Alyon had taken their turns. One of the two remaining options had to step outside the shield, and upon his master's question, Bookworm announced his choice.
"Of course I'll do it. If I ask you to step outside, I can't even imagine what would happen next!"
Alyon's son was a smart orc; considering what his master would do the moment she saw her greatest enemy in front of her, he made the decision in his own favor.
"I just have one request."
Advancing step by step until he was in front of the blood-red curtain, Bookworm stopped just as he was about to step outside and spoke without turning around.
"Spit it out, my student, what do you want?"
Even though he didn't specify who he was making the request of, Nafız knew this call was for her.
"I want you to restrain Yellow Passion with your energy and pull her inside the shield. I don't plan on attacking her when I go outside."
Nafız didn't speak; in response, she opened a pocket in the Blood Dome and pulled the woman struggling on its surface inside. Yellow Passion was now enveloped by the Blood Dome, but she couldn't cross over to the area where the others were either.
"How's that, will it do?"
"Thank you!"
His final request fulfilled, Bookworm stepped onto the golden sands, threw off his cloak a second later, and the yellow wave rising from the ground covered his entire body. The sands inside the trap were flying around, rising and forming ever-changing shapes with every breath.
"Black Bear!"
Hammerstriker and Bookworm were seeing the exact same person; the former Orc Lord who had tormented their family and insulted them was the entity they wanted to kill the most.
"Golden Oasis, open!"
Bookworm was covered in gold like an Egyptian god, and with his command, his sands flowed toward where Four-Winged Angel was. Actually, the sands moving in an area wide enough to cover not only her but also Flaming Arrow had caught Nafız's attention.
"Is this the same thing as Alis's domain?"
Having previously witnessed the domain of the young man, her former power animal, where he could reach a speed faster than the speed of sound within the Typhoon Technique, Nafız was now comparing what was in front of her to that time.
"Golden Oasis, Sandstorm!"
When Bookworm gave his command, the sand grains surrounding the two enemies began to fly in a way that plunged the entire area into chaos. They had neither a route nor a pattern; it was as if every single speck was moving with a will of its own.
Arrows coated in flame energy were shattered as they tried to pass through them, and Four-Winged Angel constantly took hits while trying to attack using her superior speed. Only Bookworm was untouchable within all this chaos, able to stay in the exact same spot while floating in the air.
When the enemies' mobility dropped to zero, the robe he had just dropped from his body began to disintegrate starting from its edges, mixing into the golden sands and making its way forward. They had two women in their sights, and it wasn't long before Four-Winged Angel became the first to encounter them.
A few breaths later, Flaming Arrow was also getting a taste of Bookworm's robe, which was made of lethal poison. The poison seeping in through the skin eroded by the golden sands was the kind that didn't need much time to take effect, and as the bodies of the two women fell to the ground stiff as a board, it became obvious they would never stand up again.
"Alis's was meant to increase his mobility, but this isn't bad either; I especially liked him floating in the air covered in gold like that!"
Nafız was smiling as she watched her student; if Bookworm had transformed from a weak orc abandoned by his father and turned away by his tribe into such a mighty being, she played a huge part in it.
