Chapter 519 - Beş Yüz On Dokuz

Facing the words he heard while the awful taste of the pain of losing his beloved was still on his palate, Kuzey lost his cool. His journey, starting from beside his two friends he slipped past using his strong physical features, ended next to the female orc whose head he wanted to rip off.

"Murderer!"

He was so blind with rage that he wanted to kill her with his own hands, exactly as he said, but Nafız hadn't said such a thing. The two whips catching his body gliding through the air had brought the grieving man above her head in the blink of an eye.

"Don't, don't you dare!"

Batı could only say this following the event that developed in a second, for in the next second, despite the heavy armor on him, his friend's body would be torn in two. When his lower half left his upper half, almost all the blood in his body splattered around, and most of all, they wet the body of his killer.

"You brute, you will beg to die!"

Doğu grabbed his bow and sent ten arrows at Nafız within two seconds, but there was one thing he forgot; Kuzey's lifeless body was still being held by the whips. The Blood God, bathed in the liquid from which she took her title and power, didn't even budge; her enemy's corpse fulfilled the duty of defense in her stead.

The body, whose integrity was broken once, couldn't withstand the blows it took; when the attack ended, it splattered around like ice cream left in the heat for a long time. The floor of the headquarters was now hosting the two lovers, and judging by the number of those coming after hearing the sounds, it would have many more guests today.

"What happened, I guess you forgot who you are when you got hurt. If you want, I can call the ten druids who formed the energy shield so they can list the sins you committed on the Wild Swamp continent to your faces one by one."

Nafız, while looking like a wild creature, could speak practically like a sage. The battlefield was her home; she was as relaxed and carefree as a person watching their favorite TV show in front of the television.

"Doğu, calm down! The enemy before us is not someone we can defeat in this state of mind. We will retreat and wait for the right opportunity!"

Nafız managed to catch the final glint in the eye of the man carrying dual swords; even if they were the same in some ways as the guy she just killed, it was obvious there was a big difference between them in terms of mentality. As he disappeared from sight along with the archer he grabbed by the arm, Nafız was surrounded by soldiers coming relentlessly like moths running to the flame.

"Since you want to play hide-and-seek, let's play then, but in the meantime, let me tag these idiots!"

She was calm when hundreds of soldiers, some with normal weapons, some with weapons capable of storing energy, surrounded her. When her sneaky smile, which those who didn't know her would find strange but those who entered a battle with her knew closely, appeared on her face, she quickly started running in one direction.

After taking a few steps, her stance changed, her hands joined her feet and started beating the ground, and the blood-red aura covering her body took on a strange shape. A muscular torso built on short thick legs, and a large head adorned with a horn curving upwards at its tip, was what those watching her saw.

"Orc Blood Techniques, Unstoppable Rhinoceros!"

In her short former life, Nafız didn't have abilities that she could carry over to the World of the Six Civilizations and that would make her life here easier. If making photocopies were a skill, she would definitely have the SSS class, but it was impossible for her to access such an imaginary world.

During the centuries-long seclusion she entered after gaining the lineage power thanks to Berkut, she had more time than she wanted to think. Her mind eventually managed to slip through the bad memories and started remembering the good ones as well, and the foundation for Nafız's success in creating the Orc Blood Techniques was laid.

Her father wasn't a man without vision, he had interesting ideas on many subjects, but for some reason, he had a strange obsession with encyclopedias. He would make fun of their collecting coupons for days upon her mother's insistence, and sometimes he would lament not being able to read a news story on the other side of the page that didn't attract him at all.

Even the presence of the encyclopedias, which he couldn't prevent from being acquired no matter what he did, bothered him; he would continue to make fun of them at every opportunity regarding the space they took up, their weight, and their appearance. He hadn't been at peace until he threw them in the trash during a move, but until he did that, Nafız had managed to browse through all of them.

Perhaps due to this attitude of her father, or perhaps because the pictureless titles didn't interest her much, little Nafız would flip through the pages quickly, but there was also a subject she didn't skip. When it came to animals, she would take a deep breath, get into the most comfortable reading position, and read slowly as if wanting to savor every letter.

Because she learned with such passion, she remembered almost everything, and the missing parts would also emerge over the years. Blood Techniques were performed using the vitality of the blood flowing in the user's veins, and Nafız had chosen the path she currently applied to honor the memories of her former life.

The documentaries she watched later had presented her with the movements and behavior patterns of the living beings she could only see as pictures. She watched every detail breathlessly, satisfying her childhood curiosity without paying attention to those who didn't understand why she watched the same thing over and over again.

She fought by transforming the blood energy into the shapes of the animals whose images were stored in her mind. This was her way of continuing to carry her past and the self of Mora she once possessed. The Unstoppable Rhinoceros carried too many meanings to be described as just a killing technique.

The rhinoceros represented the human self that went away with Alis, the energy type the technique was formed from represented Mora whose legacy she managed to receive on the Supreme Mountain, and the life force control required to achieve this represented God Berkut, the being orcs considered sacred.

Nafız, as she carved a path through the crowd, absorbed the life force within however many soldiers gave their lives on it. While others took the power required for their abilities or weapons from nature, she could provide this directly from her enemies.

It was no coincidence either that she chose the Unstoppable Rhinoceros to fight the besieging enemy. These animals, which have no natural enemies in the animal kingdom and generally run away when they see humans, could make aggressive attacks called blind charges under some extraordinary conditions.

The rhinoceros, despite all its bulkiness, was not a clumsy animal at all. It could run at a speed of 45 km per hour and, during this blind charge, could suddenly change its direction with an agility completely unexpected from its huge body.

Their sense of sight wasn't extraordinary, it could even be called weak compared to other animals, but they made up for this with their success in smelling. For this reason, if someone didn't die in the first attack, it was highly unlikely for them to escape wounded. When the ability to quickly change direction was added to the power to easily knock down even an elephant when accelerated, it was no wonder the enemy surrounding her decreased moment by moment.

Except for a few who died from arrows, all the shattered corpses filling the square were the handiwork of the Unstoppable Rhinoceros. Doğu had wanted to catch her off guard from where he hid, but neither his archery skills nor the features of the equipment he used were advanced enough to achieve this.

"Are you doing an East-West synthesis, or are you so scared that you can't come out of the hole you're hiding in? I see, you're doing this because I said we're going to play hide-and-seek, so be it. Then I'll go and tag the person waiting for me in their tent right in the middle of the camp!"

Nafız didn't bother going after the enemy; she headed towards the place used by the base commander, which screamed 'I am the tent of the highest-ranking person' from whichever way you looked at it. While her attention was on her, the Elemental Ten could keep the energy shield intact for days, and it seemed the Blood God had reached her goal.
