Charles was smiling as it was the start of a new day. It was peaceful. It was something that has barely happened since this exam started. "It's been peaceful today so at least I can relax." Charles said with a content sigh.
"Yeah today has been peaceful but it is also early in the morning." I told him as he nodded.
"Yeah Valtina you're right." Charles agrees.
"Well I wonder what will happen today." I spoke with a small smile on my face. It was so peaceful in this winter horror land.
"Hopefully nothing." Charles said.
"Why did you walk away? Like the exact reason?" I asked that question, still burning in my head.
"We were in a pond of blood that would cause me a major disadvantage fighting him like that." Charles told me as that made sense.
"That makes so much sense who did you think that person was?" I questioned.
"No clue one moment he felt like me and the next it felt like I was fighting Gabriel." Charles said his eyes cloud for a moment. Thump! That sound again.
"Where do you think that person is?" I asked. Looking at Charles. "Hello! Hello, are you paying attention?" I said flapping right in front of his face.
"Sorry I spaced out for a second." Charles said his voice held melancholy in it.
"Okay. I asked, "Where do you think that person is?" I asked again.
"Somewhere." Charles said laziness dripping from his voice.
"Yeah now what are we going to do today?" I questioned landing on his shoulder again. Letting out a sigh. I could feel a light chuckle from Charles.
"That person I wonder who is the person? So many questions and so little time." Charles said with a small frown on his face.
"Well hello there." A person said as they came out of the shadows of the trees.
"Who is there?" Charles snarled.
"Just a friend." The person said. Not coming out of the shadows.
"Why would you be my friend?" Charles asked a pointed question.
"Because I know you are Charles Von Pendragon, the youngest Pendragon. Emerald by day and a ruby at night. Vampire who shepherds the flock." After the person said this he just vanished. What a strange thing. Emerald by day and Ruby by night. What does that mean? Then what does he mean by Vampire who shepherds the flock.
"Do you know what it meant?" I questioned. That voice sounded just like Hellsing. Was it the man who threw Charles into Ichor?
"Shepherds the flock, I have no clue what that means." Charles said, shaking his head.
"But why would he give us such a warning?" I questioned.
"It's a warning but about what?" Charles was still confused. Shepherd to a flock? What does that even mean?
"We should try and figure it out." I said with a tired sigh. It was a hard riddle.
"Let's just forget about it for now." Charles said. As he got back up with a small smile on his lips before morphing into a frown.
"Let's head back." I said. Charles nodded.
"Already ahead of you." Charles spoke as we got back to the base camp.
"I wonder how much longer we will be trapped here?" I asked Charles.
"Maybe a few more days but that's me being hopeful." Charles said. As we managed to enter our camp everyone was working.
"That is wishful thinking." I said with a smile. But it was kinda cute how he was so optimistic.
"Yeah I know." Charles said, rubbing the back of his neck. As his neck cracked and popped. A blaring sound was heard.
"There goes my peaceful day." I mumbled. Charles rubbed his temples.
"Attention all examinees please exit the Bio-Sphere." A female voice blared out from the speakers.
"Okay." Charles said.
"All House of Evolution members have been dealt with." The female voice came out still. It was loud. Hours passed and all of the examinees formed one big mob. With Charles and Gabriel standing at the forefront of the group.
"Hello there! I am representing the Hell Hunter school on my behalf. We applaud your strength in the face of terrorist. As are all survivors of this attack. All four thousand two hundred twenty two of you are welcome to attend Hell Hunter school. We greatly apologize for this incident." The person said as he took a low bow. As the group muttered around.
"We will give you a letter as you spend three months there. Your whole summer break we are sorry for this inconvenience." The second one said this person also took a low bow.
"Okay let's head back to the manor." I said in Charles' ear as he nodded. As he started to walk off. We got to the apartment building and went to Hellsing's old apartment. As he opened the door. A smell hit our noises. Charles licked his lips.
"I am home!" Charles called. As Seris appeared from the kitchen with meatloaf in his hands.
"Good, I have a meal for you." Seris said with a small smile on his face. As Charles dug into the meatloaf like he was starving.
"How did you know this was my favorite food?" Charles questioned.
"A lucky guess." Seris said as he ate slowly. Savouring the meal.
"This was so good." Charles complements the cooking. As he places down the fork.
"Yes your father was worried sick he will be quite happy to hear you have returned." Seris said with a small smile on his face as he shook his head slowly.
"Well, I am shocked that he was worried." Charles spoke with a small nod.
"Well then it was a good meal." Seris said as he stood up.
"Where are we going?" Charles asked. Looking at Seris. Seris had a smile.
"Going to Pendragon manor." Seris said as Charles puts his fork and plate into the dish pit. As he quickly followed Seris.
"Well then let's get going." Charles said.
