The critique wasn't over yet when countless flashes of light suddenly erupted around Homelander.
Jessica activated her Infinite Blink skill; her figure flickered around Homelander like a ghost.
Her fists delivered continuous strikes with almost zero delay.
The shadows of her fists formed a web, each punch aimed directly at his vitals.
Homelander, however, simply strolled through the web of fists, slightly tilting his body, lowering his head, and sliding his feet.
He made all her lethal strikes miss completely.
The moment Jessica emerged from the void again, Homelander's hand was already waiting, clamping onto her wrist with unerring precision.
"Fast," Homelander nodded and critiqued as he looked into Jessica's shocked eyes. "But your attack intent is too obvious, and your spatial landing points are too predictable. Don't rely so much on so-called visual blind spots!"
With that, Homelander executed a clean over-the-shoulder throw, slamming Jessica hard into the ground.
"Bang!"
Jessica's eyes rolled back, and she immediately lost consciousness.
"Whoosh—!"
Just then, a bolt of silver lightning tore across the battlefield. It circled Homelander, running frantically in an attempt to build up kinetic energy from high speed to break through his defense.
However, Pietro's trajectory was completely exposed in Homelander's eyes.
As Quicksilver closed in, Homelander also entered a high-speed state and said flatly, "Your speed lacks tactical awareness and variation. You're just running blindly."
He slightly shifted his body and casually stuck out his right leg, giving a gentle trip.
"Crack!"
The crisp sound of breaking bone rang out.
Pietro's left leg snapped instantly under the extreme speed, and he tumbled hundreds of meters across the ground, screaming in pain.
"Die!"
Nebula seized the opportunity and leapt down from mid-air.
With her Sandevistan overclocked, the entire World seemed to move as slow as a snail in her eyes.
The Vibranium Mantis Blades extending from her arms heated to a dazzling orange-red as she slashed toward Homelander's neck.
But within her slowed perception of time, Homelander turned his head to look at her, speaking at a perfectly normal speed.
"Your movements are too mechanical; you rely too much on programming."
As he spoke, he reached out swiftly, grabbed the joint of the blade, and yanked hard.
With a screeching sound, the Vibranium Mantis Blade was forcibly ripped out, separating the blade from the arm.
Homelander gripped the fiery-red Mantis Blade and gave it a casual swing.
The edge swept through, cleanly severing Nebula's mechanical legs. Sparks flew from the cuts as she collapsed to the ground, unable to move.
Speedball Robbie, eyes bloodshot, charged forward with a roar. He attempted to absorb Homelander's kinetic energy to launch a counterattack.
But he clearly overestimated himself.
Homelander walked toward him, landing seemingly casual Consecutive Normal Punches on Robbie's energy shield.
"Know your limits, kid!"
Kinetic energy exceeding his capacity instantly filled Robbie's body. The energy overload triggered a violent backlash, and the energy throughout Robbie's body exploded with a boom.
"Pfft!"
Robbie spat out a large mouthful of blood, his vision went black, and he passed out instantly.
Firecracker Angela pushed her abilities to the limit, her entire body engulfed in dazzling flames reaching thousands of degrees as she blasted toward Homelander.
Homelander's eyes were indifferent. He ignored the high temperature and strode into the sea of fire, grabbing Angela by the throat.
"The temperature of the flames is barely passable," Homelander mocked mercilessly, feeling the heat on his fingertips. "But your own combat skills are a blank slate! You have firepower, but you're a weakling once someone gets close!"
With a slight squeeze of Homelander's wrist, Angela felt a wave of dizziness. Her eyes rolled back as she lost consciousness, and the flames on her body flickered out.
Silver Hand Bucky charged forward silently, his newly equipped heavy Gorilla Arms smashing down toward the back of Homelander's head.
Homelander tilted his head, turned, and then backhandedly locked onto the joint of Bucky's mechanical arm.
A twist and a pull.
The Gorilla Arm was instantly detached from Bucky's shoulder and ended up in Homelander's hand.
Homelander swung the mechanical arm backhandedly, striking Bucky across the side of his face and knocking him out cold.
The remaining few also lost their fighting capability under the absolute power gap. Even the Captain's 'Fifty-Fifty' ability proved useless against Homelander.
The battlefield was filled with the groans of the fallen.
Despite the heroes' combat power soaring with the enhancement of T-VEX, it remained a one-sided slaughter in the face of Homelander's overwhelming strength.
But from Homelander's perspective, looking at these employees lying on the ground, he felt a sense of gratification.
Their coordination and fighting spirit had made a qualitative leap compared to before.
Once sent into the Universe to gather fans, they would be a formidable army capable of holding their own.
Just as Homelander was about to end this training session...
The Force predicted a volley of bullets coming his way.
Black Widow Natasha was twenty meters away, holding the Black Buzzard Dual Pistols in both hands. She had activated Blast Mode, and the barrels were continuously spitting tongues of fire.
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Homelander didn't even dodge, letting the explosive rounds strike his armor.
Sparks flew, but not even a scratch was left.
He stood there, looking at Natasha with some exasperation.
"What is this? Your final stand?" Homelander mocked. "Even a nuclear bomb couldn't hurt me, and you're actually hoping to use a little pistol?"
Natasha stopped firing and gave a sweet smile. That smile held a unique charm amidst the smoke-filled battlefield.
"One has to try, right?"
Natasha brushed aside the stray red hair on her forehead, her tone as relaxed as if she were chatting at a cocktail party.
"After all, who knows if you used some magical little gadget to survive the nuke? What if you're actually just a glass cannon?"
Homelander frowned slightly; this woman's reaction was off.
When things are out of the ordinary, there's bound to be a catch.
Natasha maintained that charming smile as her left hand secretly pulled out a remote detonator from behind her back.
Then, without hesitation, her finger pressed the detonation button.
All of this fell into Homelander's gaze, and he suddenly looked down.
Only then did he realize that, at some unknown point, the area around his feet had been densely covered with super-concentrated C4 explosives!
"Shit! Impressive!"
Homelander suddenly had a realization.
The Invisible Man, Shabby!
He had actually forgotten about this guy!
This guy's ability was originally invisibility. After being injected with T-VEX, his ability had made a qualitative leap. Even The Force had overlooked his presence!
Natasha's seemingly mindless shooting and chatting just now were all to distract him and create an opportunity for Shabby, the Invisible Man, to plant the bombs.
"BOOM!!!"
The explosion occurred.
The power of the system-produced super-concentrated C4 was incredibly staggering!
The violent shockwave and flames erupted at Homelander's feet, swallowing his figure.
The massive explosion even sent Natasha, who was already lying low twenty meters away, flying.
Her internal organs reeling from the impact, she slumped weakly on the ground, unable to even lift her hand for a moment.
The smoke and dust slowly dissipated.
Homelander was still standing where he was. Aside from a deep pit blasted into the ground beneath his feet, he was completely unharmed.
It was only because he had timely wrapped himself in The Force, preventing the Mimetic Metal from being blasted through and risking exposure.
However, Homelander wasn't angry. Instead, through the smoke, he cast an appreciative look at Natasha, who was slumped on the ground in the distance.
In this near-crushing battle, facing a despairing gap in strength...
She was the only one among all the heroes who remained calm and composed, using tactical coordination to truly land an attack on his actual person.
"Well done, Natasha."
Homelander secretly praised her in his heart; this woman's tactical proficiency and mental fortitude were indeed reliably reassuring.
