The waiting room for the tournament participants felt very spacious, but the air inside was filled with the thick tension of competition. There were dozens of participants from various kingdoms who had already gathered there, busy preparing themselves mentally and physically.
However, as soon as the delegation from the Astoria Kingdom and the delegation from the Flamort Kingdom stepped inside, the atmosphere suddenly fell silent. Almost all pairs of eyes in the room simultaneously looked towards them, assessing and measuring the strength of their prospective opponents.
Arvin ignored those gazes and stepped inside calmly. However, just as he took a few steps, a golden-haired woman suddenly broke away from the corner of the room and immediately approached him with an incredibly enthusiastic face.
It was Elenora.
"Is there something wrong with you this morning?" asked Arvin, surprised to see the behavior of the woman from the Holy Kingdom. "Did you have a nightmare last night that made you act so inexplicably and enthusiastically like this?"
"Of course not!" answered Elenora quickly, her mint-green eyes sparkling brightly. "Last night I actually had a very beautiful dream. In my dream, I married you... but in the form of a man."
Arvin was quite surprised by the completely unexpected answer from the golden-haired woman standing right in front of him.
Intentionally ignoring Arvin's surprised expression, Elenora instead stepped forward and brought her face even closer.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! Answer me, Arvin. If someday I truly turn into a man, will you marry me?"
"You know that's very impossible to happen, right?" replied Arvin quickly, shaking his head because he increasingly did not understand the woman's line of thought. "I don't know what got into you to make you so enthusiastically want to be a man like that."
"I don't know for sure either!" answered the woman with a tone that sounded honest. "For some reason deep down in my heart, I feel very enthusiastic and very relieved if I had the form of a man and married a man too, especially a strong man like you."
Hearing that overly specific statement, Arvin narrowed his eyes. There was something bothering his memory.
"What is your full name, Elenora?" asked Arvin suddenly, his tone of voice becoming more serious.
Elenora tilted her head slightly, but still answered loudly. "My name is Elenora Arqevio Aluxien Galdius!"
Hearing that string of names, Arvin was stunned for a moment. His brain worked fast, trying to remember the database of the past storyline and matching the complete NPC name he had just heard.
Now, I just remembered who she really is! thought Arvin, staring intently at the two mint-green eyes in front of him. One month after this inter-academy tournament is over, she will be tragically killed on her journey to Oltras city.
Arvin took a slow breath without averting his gaze from Elenora's face.
The main reason she is killed by her own kingdom is because of her ability which will later become very terrifying. he thought again, analyzing. It seems this woman is completely unaware that the foresight power within her has not fully awakened at this time.
And right at the same time, Arvin's strategic brain immediately connected a crazy possibility. He remembered the gender-changing power that Yonna possessed.
If Yonna can permanently change Elenora into a man and she eventually becomes my spouse, this foresight power will be very useful for our faction. he thought again, which was then followed by his heavy sigh. But, is that process possible to be done?
"Why are you just staying silent and daydreaming like that, Arvin?" asked Elenora breaking the youth's long daydream, waving her hand right in front of Arvin's face.
"It's nothing. I was just thinking about something." answered Arvin, followed by a sigh to neutralize the atmosphere. He looked at Elenora with an undeniable sharp gaze. "Listen carefully, Elenora. If you really want to be with me, get out of that Holy Kingdom as soon as possible and don't you ever go back there again!"
Silence instantly seized the area around them. It wasn't only Elenora who was surprised to the point of widening her eyes. Arvin's four spouses standing not far from them also felt the same massive shock.
"W-Why should I—"
Before Elenora could finish her sentence of protest, Arvin had already raised his hand and pressed his index finger right on the woman's lips, telling her to be quiet.
"Shhh...!!" hissed Arvin softly but firmly. "I will definitely explain it to you in detail later! But for now, focus on the tournament that will begin shortly."
Feeling the seriousness from the blue-haired youth's gaze, Elenora finally gulped and just nodded in understanding.
"Alright. But, after today's tournament ends, you must truly explain everything to me." demanded Elenora, making sure.
"Of course!" promised Arvin.
After Elenora returned to gather with her teammates, Arvin and his four spouses walked towards one of the long benches in the corner of the waiting room and sat there. However, curiosity was clearly drawn on the faces of Allen, Alrain, Ordion, and Alvein. The four of them truly did not understand what the meaning of that surprising conversation just now was.
"My Dear, are you really going to make Elenora, who is incidentally a woman, your spouse too?" whispered Ordion, leaning his body towards Arvin, unable to hold back his curiosity any longer.
"She might just become my valuable ally, or she might also eventually become my spouse." answered Arvin casually, his eyes glancing briefly at Elenora across from them. "I have a very strong reason why I must recruit her to our side as soon as possible."
"What is your reason?" chimed in Alrain, also leaning his body to listen.
"She has the power of foresight, a rare power that can catch a glimpse into the future." answered Arvin again, but now he deliberately lowered his voice so that no one else would hear it. "I firmly asked her to get out of there so she wouldn't be killed when the higher-ups there realize how highly dangerous the potential of that woman's power is."
Hearing that reasonable explanation, Allen, Alrain, Ordion, and Alvein were very surprised. The four of them looked at each other. They completely did not expect that the golden-haired woman was desired by their husband purely to save the life of the foresight power owner from deadly schemes.
"So... is that the reason you asked her to leave her kingdom and not be allowed to return there again?" asked Allen, confirming his assumption.
"You are right, Allen. Therefore, I asked that of her today." answered Arvin.
Arvin then leaned his back against the bench, looking far towards the ceiling of the participants' waiting room. There was one more step he had to secure before everything was too late.
"After today's tournament is over, we will all return to the capital for a while." he said softly to his four spouses. "I want to ask Yonna to immediately quit her job as a receptionist at the merchant guild."
