Athena let out a soft sound of surprise as her body pressed against his chest, and then his hand gently lifted her chin upward before his lips pressed against hers.
The words she was about to say died instantly in her throat.
Her kissed her slowly and intently, melting away every trace of her shyness and indignation. Athena's lashes trembled slightly before her eyes slowly closed.
Her fingers unconsciously clenched against his robes.
After a long while, Adam finally pulled away by half an inch, their foreheads resting against each other.
"They will all come to know about is eventually." He reminded her.
Athena's breathing was roughened as she looked into those abyss-like eyes.
"You and I belong to each other now."
The words struck directly into her heart.
Athena lowered her gaze, her voice becoming weak and quiet.

Yet after only a moment, unease resurfaced in her heart once more.
"My oath..." She whispered. "I broke it."
