"Call those stupid friends of hers. Maybe they know where she went," Mr. Smith snapped through gritted teeth.
Selena sighed heavily before dialing Freya's number. The phone rang several times before it was finally answered. Loud music, laughter, and multiple voices echoed from the other side of the line, making Selena's frown deepen.
Not wanting to get involved in whatever chaos was happening there, she quickly spoke.
"Freya, it's me, Mrs. Smith."
"Oh, Mrs. Smith!" Freya screamed excitedly before turning away from the phone to yell at someone nearby. "Ashley, your humiliating video is online because your mother just called!"
Selena froze instantly.
"What humiliating video?" she asked shakily. "And who are you talking about? Is Ashley there with you?"
"Yes, duh, she's here," Freya replied loudly without the slightest bit of concern.
