As Ellie jumps back into the water both Alex and I swim over to her. When she emerges she does what I can only describe as the little mermaid hair flip that makes her look extremely sexy and I doubt she even knows it.
"Wow, that was hot!" I exclaim coming closer to her.
"What was?" She asks innocently.
"That hair flip babe, I think every straight guy in the world imagines a hot girl coming out of the water just like that!"
"Babe!?" She raises a brow at me. "Since when do you call me babe? Also I doubt any guy would use me and hot in the same sentence and the hair flip is the easiest way to keep wet hair out of my face, it's practical, not hot."
"I beg to differ." Alex says agreeing with me while I say at the same time,"What's wrong with babe?"
"Nothing is wrong with babe when it's used between couples, but we aren't a couple." Ellie says looking at me then she turns to Alex and asks "What do you beg to differ?"
Alex and I shift closer, crowding her, making her heart rate pick up slightly. We cage her in, I put my hands on her hips from the front while Alex brushes her hair to one side from behind, then runs his hands down her arms making her slightly shiver. We leave just enough space between us so she doesn't feel the affect she has on us. I'm extremely turned on that it's almost painful and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if my brother is too.
Alex leans forward and brushes his lips by her ear and whispers, "You are hot sweetheart and that move was also hot. You need to stop saying that you aren't. If you don't I will bend you over my knee and punish you for saying such negative things about yourself. Understand?" His words cause her to gasp and try to look over her shoulder at him.
"And," I say leaning closer drawing her attention forward again, "even though we aren't dating, you are my babe, you are Alex's babe, you're our angel, our sweetheart and any other term of endearment we wish to call you because you are OURS, got that babe?" I put emphasis on the final babe just to prove a point.
"Yes." She responds breathlessly, causing both Alex and I to smirk.
"Good girl." Alex and I say at the same time.
As soon as the words leave our lips the unmistakable scent of arousal hits us causing our wolves to let out an approval growl loud enough for us to hear each other but low enough where our girl doesn't. The fact that the scent is powerful enough to be detected even with her emerged in water is just one more indication that she could be our mate. Even being wolves it's typically hard to scent arousal through water, especially when we use water to mask our scents. It's part of the reason why we hid at this very spot so many years ago.
'Goddess she smells delicious.' Alaric, my wolf says to me.
'Yeah buddy she does.'
'I want to taste her, let's taste her.' He says eagerly, trying to push forward.
'We can't. You can't reveal yourself, not unless she's actually our mate.' I say before he does something we can't take back. He grumbles at me then retreats to the back of my mind causing me to roll my eyes at his antics.
'Alaric giving you a hard time?' Alex asks via mindlink.
'Yeah, he wants to taste Ellie.'
'Ace too, it's like they don't care about exposure. Makes me really believe she will be our mate.' He remarks.
'Goddess I hope so.' I say for what feels like the millionth time since we turned 18.
"Um guys," Ellie clears her throat breaking us out of our mindlink, "can you back up a little?"
Alex and I chuckle, "Why Angel? We thought you like it when we cage you in." I purr against her ear.
"Yeah sweetheart, we love a good Ellie sandwich." Alex hums in the other ear.
Ellie than shakes her head and tries to push against my chest to move me. Those familiar sparks rush through at the contact and I pull her closer, finally making her feel what she does to me. Her breathing hitches when she realizes how hard I am for her and she swallows. Alex moves in closer as well, letting her feel him from behind as well and I swear she forgets to breathe for a second.
"What's happening?" She murmurs as her heart rate picks up.
"Whatever you want to happen sweetheart." Alex answers.
"Yeah Angel, we can just stand here, in this pool of water holding you, and just relishing in the feeling of our bodies so close to one another or…" I trail off letting her imagination run wild.
"Or what," she gasps out, unsure of the implications I alluded to.
"Only you can answer that sweetheart."
Ellie swallows hard. Uncertainty flashes across her face. This is new territory for all of us, potentially dangerous territory. If we cross it, there's no turning back and if she's not our mate, then we may break her heart, no matter how much we don't want to. We know that we want her and based on her dream this morning there may be a part of her that wants us too but unless she crosses that line first we won't push. We won't go any farther than what she is willing to give. Mate or not we don't ever want to lose her and if being friend zoned for the rest of our lives is all we get than so be it. Granted if she does turn out to be our mate we will fight tooth and nail to make sure she takes us out of that zone because there is no way our wolves would allow us to never mate or mark her. Wolves don't understand friend zones especially if it comes to their fated mate. Plus Alpha wolves like ours are more possessive than your average wolves and if they don't mark and mate their mates they can go feral and we definitely don't want that. We would definitely have to do everything in our power to prove to Ellie that we are more than friends if she does turn out to be our mate, unfortunately we still won't know for another two years. Please Selene let Ellie be our mate.
Ellie clears her throat, "I-I, I think…"
"What do you think Angel?" I ask, my voice husky and gruff from all the thoughts that just ran through my head in a matter of minutes.
"I think, I am going to go dry off in the sun." She states sliding out between us and swimming to the shore.
And just like that the fire that was building is extinguished in a blink of an eye.
