Time flew by in a flash, and soon it was Wednesday.
Sometime after three in the afternoon, Meng Yao and Ye Lin finished assisting an attending physician from the plastic surgery center with a procedure. Exhausted and hungry, they dragged themselves to the second staff cafeteria to eat.
After getting their food, the two found a quiet spot to sit down.
Ye Lin quickly shoveled in two mouthfuls of rice and then gulped down half a bowl of soup, which finally settled her stomach a little.
"Sigh. After getting used to the Boss's surgeries—so fluid and graceful they're a pleasure to watch—seeing other doctors operate just feels awkward and uncomfortable. I can't help but feel anxious for the doctor and the patient."
Meng Yao swallowed a few bites of her food and chuckled softly. "The Boss is on a completely different level than them. The contrast is so stark, of course you'd find it hard to watch anyone else."
"We're just nurses. We just need to do our jobs."
