A crowd had gathered, whispering and murmuring amongst themselves. There were even a number of Japanese police officers nearby, apparently trying to mediate.
At the center of the dispute were two groups of people.
One group consisted of Japanese men dressed in traditional clothing and wearing wooden clogs. The other was a group of fashionably dressed young people who looked like tourists.
"You Donghua pigs, get the hell out of Japan! Your country sent someone to invade our homeland! You're not welcome here!"
The leader, a tall and burly Japanese man, shouted. He looked like he was about to lunge forward and grab the lead young man by the collar, but several Japanese police officers struggled to hold him back.
Yi Beidou began to understand what was going on.
These Japanese men were holding signs on which phrases like "Down with the invader!" and "Execute the Great Demon King!" were faintly visible. It was clear his actions had sparked protests among the Japanese public.
