"What... do you mean?" Kevin Whitlock's expression tensed instantly.
Alvin Morgan took the teacup from Aurora Sinclair and glanced at Beta Morgan. "Investigate everyone who entered the mountain last night. Focus on the cars..."
Kevin Whitlock's face darkened. "Alvin Morgan, are you suspecting the Martial Affairs Bureau?"
"Are you nervous?" Alvin Morgan asked faintly, blowing on the tea in his cup.
Kevin Whitlock froze for a moment before clenching his fists. "What's there for me to be nervous about? I have a clear conscience." With a grim face, he prepared to storm off.
Suddenly, Aurora Sinclair moved quickly to block his path. Kevin's heart tightened, and he instinctively took a step back. "What are you doing?"
Aurora Sinclair watched him silently for a moment, her gaze shifting to his arm. "You smell like blood."
Kevin Whitlock reflexively put his arm behind his back, asking warily, "And so what?"
