Victor Morgan landed at the nearest airport. The drive to the three-story villa where Jessie Sterling was filming her show took only about an hour, which was much faster than Jessie's own trip to Caelus had been.
His flight had been at three in the afternoon. By the time he arrived, the sun had just set, and the sky was growing dark.
Victor hadn't called ahead. He'd planned on surprising Jessie, but he never expected that before he could, she would give him a scare of his own.
Many of the show's production staff recognized Victor Morgan. When he drove up and got out of his car, someone immediately approached him.
"President Morgan?" Matt was the director's assistant assigned to Jessie. She hadn't gone out to do any work all afternoon, so her film crew naturally hadn't gone out either. Instead, they were staying in their rooms, treating it as a break. They just never expected Victor Morgan to show up here.
