Jessie Sterling: "I'm feeling much better now. We don't have to go to the hospital, right?"
She blinked at Victor Morgan, hoping to escape her fate.
But as Victor Morgan helped her get dressed, Jessie Sterling was still very cooperative. She held out her arms, letting him guide them into the sleeves.
Victor Morgan: "What do you think?"
'Was he negotiating with Jessie Sterling just now?'
Clearly, it wasn't up for discussion.
Jessie pouted. "Fine, even if we have to go to the hospital, you have to let me eat first, don't you?" She rubbed her stomach, and it was hard to tell if she was trying to play the victim or just complaining to Victor. "I haven't eaten a thing all day. I'm starving."
Victor Morgan: "..."
He wanted to say, 'Serves you right,' but seeing Jessie with her head hanging low, looking so pathetic, he couldn't bring himself to scold her.
'Forget it,' he thought.
"What do you want to eat?" Victor Morgan asked.
