They only parted when a soft gasp escaped Victor Morgan's lips.
Victor's hand moved from Jessie Sterling's cheek, and his thumb came to rest on her lips.
Her lips now looked moist and full, their rosy color exceptionally alluring.
He pressed his thumb down firmly, as if to feel their plump softness.
"If we keep kissing, we might miss our flight," Victor said, a smile playing on his lips.
Jessie shot Victor a mock-reproachful glance. She didn't say a word, but her ears had turned slightly red.
"Sweet?" Victor asked.
Jessie pushed his face away, her palm growing hot with embarrassment. "Get away from me!" she snapped, her tone a mixture of shyness and irritation.
Victor laughed out loud.
This seemed to be the first time he had laughed so happily since picking Jessie up.
"When we get back, I'll take you for roast duck first, and then to the hospital," Victor said.
Jessie protested, "I'm not sick. Why would I go to the hospital?"
"Your poor appetite."
Jessie was speechless.
