Mrs. Cheney's gaze held a hint of contempt. She secretly curled her lip. 'Messing around with a man in her own home before things are even settled,' she thought. 'She has no self-respect.' A smile played on her lips as she said, "Since your parents are letting a young man visit, they must approve deep down. It's only a matter of time before things are official."
"Vivian, I just remembered I have something to do. I have to go." Felix Flynn was terrified of Cecilia Adler and didn't dare stay long.
"I'll see you out," Vivian Lee said thoughtfully.
"It's cold outside, you should stay in." And with that, Felix Flynn left.
A smile touched Vivian Lee's lips. "Alright, take care."
Mrs. Cheney, eager to spread the gossip, also made an excuse and left.
Only Cecilia Adler and Vivian Lee remained in the room.
Vivian Lee smiled smugly. "See that? Felix Flynn cares so much about me. That's a kind of affection you'll never get."
