After a long moment, he released her, his voice laced with amusement. "Cecilia Adler, you weren't listening at all."
Cecilia Adler gave an embarrassed smile. "I never imagined I'd get so much money in one day. I just lost my head for a moment. Please don't be mad, okay?"
A glint flashed in Ian Quincy's eyes. "Who said I was mad?"
Cecilia thought, 'And you won't even admit it.'
'Fine, I'll give you an out.' "Then I must have misunderstood. Shall we go out for a walk?" 'Being in the same room alone makes it too easy to get carried away.'
