Cecilia Adler headed back, carrying the soy sauce.
From a distance, she could see a group of neighbors gathered together, all looking her way. Their stares were disconcerting.
"The Quillan family's new daughter-in-law is so beautiful. Look at her height, that figure! She'd rank among the best even in the whole East End. Ian is one lucky guy."
"Lucky? How so? I heard Ian is studying for his college exams. How is he supposed to focus on his studies now?"
"That's true. If it were my husband, he'd never want to get out of bed."
"Hahaha..."
The group of women burst into laughter.
As Cecilia Adler passed by, she greeted them, "Hello, Aunties."
"Ah, hello."
"You're doing chores so soon after joining the family? I thought your family had two maids."
"I was just buying soy sauce, not really doing chores. The maids at home are specifically for taking care of the children." Cecilia Adler replied softly. "I should get going now."
"Alright."
