"How much is it?"
"This is silk. Six yuan a meter."
Cecilia Adler found the price acceptable and took six meters.
She also bought six meters of regular cotton fabric. After paying, she rode her bike home.
As she headed upstairs toward her floor, she saw her brother-in-law and Christal Russell at the door.
Her brother-in-law said, "We've been knocking for ages and were just about to leave. Is Ian not home?"
"Yes, he left early this morning with a book." Cecilia certainly wasn't going to tell them that Ian Quincy had gone to the new house to finish up before the furniture arrived. She opened the door and let them in.
Her brother-in-law took an envelope out of his briefcase. "Here's three hundred. Want to count it?"
"Of course I trust you. Just leave it there." Cecilia poured them some water.
