Cecilia Adler was unfazed, but Ian Quincy felt a pang in his chest, as if pricked by something. "From now on, you're not alone anymore."
"Mhm!" Cecilia Adler looked up and smiled brightly. After a short pause, she said, "The clothes I made for you have been washed. They should be dry by now. Want to try them on?"
"Sure."
Cecilia Adler took the clothes from the rack on the balcony and handed them to him.
Ian Quincy started changing right there.
Cecilia Adler turned her head, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. The young man was shirtless, revealing his lean, muscular upper body.
She chided playfully, "Aren't you afraid someone across the way will see?"
"Who stares into other people's homes in broad daylight?"
Cecilia pointed. "Her. The old lady in the building across from us, on the second floor. She stares over at our building every day."
