The setting sun dyed half the sky red.
Cecilia Adler headed out with her grocery basket, and every neighbor she met along the way offered their congratulations.
The more enthusiastic ones even invited them over for dinner.
Cecilia politely declined. "We have other plans for the next few days. Some other time, though!"
"Alright, then."
Cecilia went to the market and bought some prepared food, along with some candy and pastries, before leisurely making her way home.
When she walked in the door, she found several familiar neighbors sitting in the living room and making small talk with Ian Quincy.
She greeted everyone and served tea and candy. "Please, don't be shy," she said. "Help yourselves."
