After a few words of instruction and warning, Jim Quincy left the guest room and said to Mrs. Quincy in the a living room, "We're going home."
"Oh, that's right, Cecilia. A colleague of mine asked if I could get two bottles of shampoo for her—it's for a gift. Could you ask your friend to buy two more for me?"
"Let her buy it at the store herself! If you get involved, people who don't know any better will think we're running a business. Hmph." Jim Quincy strode out the door.
"It's just a small favor. Honestly, you get angry at the drop of a hat." Mrs. Quincy chided, then turned to add, "Cecilia, don't forget!"
Cecilia Adler said, "Mom, I bought it at the South City Department Store. You should just have her go there."
"Didn't you say they didn't sell it in Valoria?"
"I happened to see it while I was out shopping. The price is just a little steep—three."
"Three? Wasn't it two before? It's only been a few days, and the price went up by one?"
