"I don't mind being treated unfairly, but I'm just worried about Sharon," Joy Dalton said pitifully.
"Sharon? What's there to worry about with her?" Timothy Sterling asked, not understanding.
Joy Dalton lowered her gaze. "Sharon has always been a sensitive child. She can't live as freely as Aurora. I know it's because of her status as an illegitimate daughter. It's always made her feel so insecure. And after what happened today... the family introduction banquet she was so looking forward to was ruined, and now Miss Sterling is displeased with me. I'm sure Sharon must be even more heartbroken."
Hearing this, Timothy Sterling nodded. "Yes, Sharon is indeed a sensible and quiet girl. We're married now, so she's hardly an illegitimate daughter anymore. You should talk to her and tell her not to let things weigh on her so heavily."
