Aurora Sterling smiled sweetly and sat down affectionately beside Mrs. Sterling. "From now on, I'll wake up early to eat breakfast with you, Grandma. I can learn so much by being at your side. I'll stick with you for everything, not just for meals. I want to work hard to become an elegant lady, just like you, so that you won't have to be ridiculed by others because of me."
After all, flattery will get you everywhere!
Sure enough, upon hearing Aurora's words, Mrs. Sterling beamed with gratification and pride. "When did our little Aurora become so silver-tongued? Making this old lady so happy first thing in the morning."
"I'm not trying to sweet-talk you, Grandma. I really do want to learn from you," Aurora said brazenly.
This was a rare and wondrous sight in the Sterling household. It seemed their young miss had truly matured, and her relationship with the matriarch was restored. This was how a family ought to be, happy and harmonious.
