Mrs. Sterling sighed. "Don't think I'm just being a biased grandmother, favoring Aurora. In terms of merit, Sharon is far more outstanding than Aurora. It's just... Sharon has a bad heart. This isn't the first or second time I've noticed it. I've just been reluctant to say anything."
Hearing Mrs. Sterling's words, Timothy Sterling felt somewhat uneasy. Sharon Sterling was his daughter, too. As a father, he was naturally unwilling to admit anything was wrong with her. "Mom, aren't you reading too much into things? I believe Sharon is a good person at heart."
Mrs. Sterling looked at Timothy's expression and knew exactly what he was thinking. The matriarch let out a soft huff. "Oh, Timothy. You're wonderful in so many ways, but you've always been a poor judge of character. There are many things you just can't see through. I'd like to think I'm overthinking this, too. Let's just hope your Sharon doesn't disappoint you."
