After ending her call with Damien Wallace, Aurora Sterling turned her attention back to her chemistry textbook. Tomorrow was her first day at a proper school, and she knew no one had any faith in her ability to attend class, let alone pass the college entrance exams. After all, her twin sister had lived a reckless life for years, treating everything with a casual disregard—including her education.
Aurora Sterling glanced at the photo frame on her nightstand. It held a picture of her and her sister, dressed like dolls in matching princess dresses.
'Aurora, thank you for living in my place for so long. Others didn't understand your struggles or your rebellious defiance, but I did.'
'You should have had your own life—one where you were admired and looked up to. But I, your sister, ruined it all. You've suffered for so long.'
'From now on, I'll live for you. I'll live proudly, with my head held high. And I will make everyone who wronged you pay!'
