The commotion over the seat instantly made the classroom atmosphere tense. All the students fell silent, their eyes fixed on Dylan Valerius, Donovan, and Aurora Sterling.
In contrast to Dylan Valerius's fury and Donovan's embarrassment, Aurora Sterling simply rested her chin on her hand, calmly gazing at her difficult new deskmate.
"Listen," she said. "You're disturbing my reading."
Dylan Valerius's brows knitted together as he glared darkly at Aurora Sterling.
But Aurora paid his hostile gaze no mind. "I'm sitting here today. You'd best get used to it. If you can't, then you can leave."
Hearing Aurora's words, Donovan almost coughed up blood. Her comment also drew looks of displeasure from the other students.
Dylan Valerius's bloodshot eyes were locked on Aurora Sterling, but just then, she flashed him a serene smile.
Perhaps the smile was too dazzling, because the scowl on Dylan Valerius's face froze for a moment.
