At the sight of Aurora Sterling, a subtle stir went through the boys in the classroom.
Aurora Sterling stood there, casually greeting everyone as she introduced herself. "Hi, everyone. I'm Aurora Sterling. I'll be studying here with all of you for the next month or so. Please bear with me if I have any shortcomings. I'll do my best to keep up with the class's pace."
Donovan scanned the classroom, wondering where to put Aurora. He looked a bit troubled, then finally pointed with some resignation to the last seat in the row against the wall. "You can sit there for now."
Seeing Donovan choose that seat, a quiet uproar rippled through the other students. They then turned to look at Aurora, as if settling in for a good show.
The classroom was full; there really were no other seats. Aurora Sterling looked toward the last seat, the only one available. It was just that her new deskmate didn't seem very easy to get along with.
