"I have to go." The man stood before Aurora Sterling. At nearly six-foot-three, he was like a towering wall.
Aurora Sterling looked up at him with a smile that didn't reach her eyes and gave him a half-hearted wave. "Goodbye. I won't see you out. We'll meet again… eventually."
The corner of the man's mouth twitched. "Aren't you going to see me out?"
Aurora Sterling was speechless.
'See you out? You rogue, you liar, you drama king! Have you no shame?'
"Of course she'll see you out!" Mrs. Sterling chimed in just then. The old woman gave Aurora's back a push. "Aurora, what's gotten into you? Damien is your fiancé. How can you not see him out? Get up, now. Walk him to the courtyard gate!"
"Grandma…"
"Don't 'Grandma' me!" Seeing that Aurora seemed to be glued to the sofa, Mrs. Sterling gave her a forceful shove. "Where are your manners! Go on, see the man out!"
