Inside the cargo container, the men's screams were so piercing they startled the birds perched on top, sending them flying away.
Ten minutes later, silence finally returned to the cargo container.
Aurora Sterling stood in the center, her cold gaze sweeping over the four men she had beaten to a pulp.
She wiped a thin sheen of sweat from her forehead, panting slightly.
'Looks like I've been getting soft lately, forgetting to stay in shape. Just taking care of four guys has already left me a little out of breath.'
Aurora fiercely berated herself. 'If I'm struggling this much with just four men, how am I ever going to handle that scoundrel, Damien Valerius?'
As the thought crossed her mind, Aurora suddenly shook her head.
'What is wrong with me? Why does my mind always drift to Damien Valerius? The second anything happens, I relate it back to that scoundrel. I must be losing my mind!'
